Hotfix 1.18.15.0 is now live!

Featured Replies

Folks, I see nothing in the patch notes that say this hotfix fixed FPS.  So this hotfix probably didn’t boost FPS, unless one of the bugs it fixed was somehow lowering the FPS.

I doubt FPS improved in this hotfix.  It’s likely the same as the last hotfix.

Have FPS got a boost again?

They have for me ... far better than before.  There's certainly still stuff to be fixed but this is so much better than before and frames are better and the flight smoother than with SU4.  This is what I expected from SU5

You guys want more even more FPS? And then say Asobo is making the graphics worse for Xbox 😄

I am flying at 2000 feet in Ft Laudedale area and there is a great deal of popping scenery when using external view.

Not for me ... I'm seeing greatly improved FPS around London, I'm currently sitting at EGLC in the BN2 with FPS of 30-40.  Previously, with SU4 it would be single digits to low teens and in the mid 20's with SU5.  10-15 FPS better from EGHI over the photogrammetry there too.  It might just be photogrammetry areas but I'll keeping testing 🙂

Now my GPU looks like it's working. Lost 5 FPS with hotfix...but way better visuals.  I noticed that after I went to the Store and got the update, there was no actual need to download anything with the program running. It just loaded in, right to my Home Screen.  Definitely,  my GPU is rendering much more...as I now have again, yellow to red spikes at Ultra.

Still having the issue at EGNX. I have to go to the options and set it low-end and then back to ultra in order to see details on the buildings. Was this bug-fix included in this update?

That was my experience also.  No need to engage update...just went to my Home Screen, but definately something has changed!  Loss of 5 FPS, but still smooth with no stutter on a GTX 1070 8GB.

If it's not in the patch notes, it probably wasn't fixed.

There's definately something changed...no more low visuals on my system, and I lost 5 FPS because my GPU is now showing a greater load (some yellow and red spikes)

So to be clear, are you comparing SU5 to SU4??? We all know SU5 provides better FPS over SU4.

What people reading your comment are confused about is whether this hotfix, 1.18.15 is yielding better FPS than hotfix 1.18.14 which was released last week.  I think some people read your comment and come away thinking this specific hotfix (1.18.15) has improved FPS over the last hotfix (1.18.14).  But it’s SU5 that improved the FPS, not really the subsequent hotfixes.
