So Elon warms of the dangers of AI and thinks that AI will take over the world...  but is building a robot. 😏

If I thought that some goofball company like Facebook was building robots, I think I'd try to build my own before FB cornered the market.

I think something like that may be incorporated in the future. I mean we have been warned about the possibility since Asimov and before. All it takes is one rogue operator to not incorporate the safeguards.

 

Elon does amuse me though, he warns of Dire consequences of AI and robots... then develops AI and robots. 🤣

He is building a MINI ME 🤣

But really if you can't hire the most ideal personal assistant, make one yourself 👍

Me too. Although I fully expect it to be like most sci-fi movies of that ilk, where it starts out all: 'What is to kiss? 'What is love?', then two minutes later it's 'Must kill!' 'Destroy humanity!'  There'll be none of that 'How about a nice game of chess, professor Falken'?' this time.

Expect to see his creation running amok in about two year's time, wearing Elon's head as a hat whilst hacking into NORAD's computers in an attempt to start WW3.

Actually if they're going to make a Tesla Bot, shouldn't it be shaped like a pigeon?

Maybe he'll succeeds and actually makes an affordable and safe robot to do boring jobs in the house and around, that would be quite something.

If he doesn't succeed he at least paves the way for others to further built upon, mistakes are the building blocks for better ideas.

Either way, imo this is bound to be important for the development of automation.

Elon does make me raise an eyebrow sometimes. In his presentation he referred to Tesla AI in his cars to be "semi-sentient". That has to be the most ridiculous claim he's ever made. 

There's no such thing as semi-sentient, you either are or you aren't, and no, his AI in his cars is a million miles away from sentient or "true AI".

Now you've hurt the feelings of every Tesla with AI. 😭
