1 year in, what's your general view on payware aircraft??

but it's not something I'm willing to go into detail about in here.

I wonder if you could broaden this statement to include most things flightsim related.  It seems to me that you seem to be offended by some of the pettiest things which suddenly bloom into huge topics.

I am convinced that you, and everyone else is genuinely entitled to your opinion etc but, please do not feel that you really have to share all of it with us here.

I think in general when someone hides behind the "I know what really happened, but cant share that with you now", or the "but thats a topic for another time", it means one of 3 things:

1) He/she genuinely knows something that would harm/embarrass someone so needs to keep quiet

2) Doesnt really know anything, maybe guessing, but feels confident enough to bluff

3) Knows something that isnt really that exciting and probably wouldnt move the needle much, but wants to use the behind the scenes knowledge of 'something' to create reasonable doubt.

No matter which of the 3 things it is, none of it really advances the conversation.  If it is, in fact #1, he/she probably shouldn't be bringing it up anyway.

Repeated use of the "insider knowledge" trope is even more exasperating.  The phrase that comes to mind is - "word thats not allowed", or get off the pot.  If you truly have facts that need to come out to correct public perception of something, spill the beans...

In expansion to number 3, the individual may want to boost their status in a community by claiming special knowledge and relationships without the burden of proving it.

No, because that would go off topic. My intention was to correct someone.

No. It takes a lot more than people on a forum to offend me.  Ive seen some of you fight in here over the pettiest things…without me.

Matter of opinion.

Matter of opinion.  Nothing special about it.  If you dig a little, you'll find it in quite a few X-Plane forums.

I particularly enjoy each reply you make to my posts.

And to think, it all started when you got creepy and thought it was a good idea to include my daughter in one of your examples.

In any case, the subject has been mostly cleared up by Max, so...moving on.

I like all JF Pipers, especially the Warrior, then I'm fond of Aeroplane Heaven's C-140, it has character, of the three Caronado aircraft's I own I like the Mooney, but I have uninstalled both C-182 and the Piper Arrow when I think they're just rubbish.

Agreed. Warrior and c140 are my two "go to aircraft"  though I am getting to like the Grob more and more as he gets the initial teething issues sorted.

My post was proven by Max, who also posted a link to the OFFICIAL statement by Randazzo himself.

So if it makes you feel better about yourself to make an assumption, contrary to what was posted, go ahead.  No skin off my nose either way.

I feel great, thanks for asking 🙂 Do you feel better? (Pats head)

Will help next time if you just avoid the cloak and dagger nonsense and just spit it out, for all our sakes.  Life is short, we could have gotten in all from a single post from you, who is so “in the know”, without needing it confirmed by a third party.

Love the condescending tone.  Your maturity shines through like a lighthouse beacon.

I would have thought, in an MSFS forum, from a group of MSFS enthusiasts, and from one of the biggest developers in the community, at least the vast majority of you would have known the truth behind it.  I never even imagined I, an X-Plane developer, would need to actually provide the details.

It's like a GA pilot with 600 hours in a single engine aircraft and a few hours in a $30 million sim telling people he knows everything about flight models and aviation.

Obviously, I was wrong.

My apologies.

Moving on, please.

Thanks! that got the day off to a great start. Fine choice of phrase and that'll get lots of mental use on my part. I wouldn't dream of applying it in print but there wiil definitely be occasions when it's in my head when I'm typing <grin>

Oh, and I don't have any issues with DWEPCs, whatever floats your boat, but the next time any such person comes over all superior in here that image will just pop straight up in my head. Wonderful!

Dominique, it's from the post I was replying to - "Dudes Who Enjoy Pilot Cosplay" - maybe it'll become a standard acronym!

And hey - I beat Google!

At least I'm able to take one thing away from this thread, namely the fact that one particular developer - should he ever decide to offer any product for MSFS - will never see one single penny from me. Simple as that.
