Simple traffic

What is the advantage of this over the freeware alternative? Both use the (imperfect) MSFS live traffic, both have real liveries, the freeware one however has real models and not those ugly generic ones. I don't see any reason to buy this right now...?

It will be "authorized," and you will no longer be called a tinkerer, a pirate or other worser things.

This cracked me up: "Simple Traffic is an imperfect product (that is why it is not called Ultimate Traffic or something). It's cheap (and cheerful)"

Aerosoft had some AI products in the past. All comming with native AI models for different types, this is the first time they release something like this.... And it makes me wonder why, in other Sims they took the time to develop something decent as well. - Just my 2 cents on this

Well it is the new reality with MSFS, CaptainSim docet. Can't blame anyone for trying to make as much money as possible while it lasts.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I think Aerosoft is only publishing this, they're not the developer.

I am pretty sure I read Kok complaining about his employee having worked a month for nothing after SU5.

Even if I understand they use only generic models, why the heck they use the ugly A330 lookalike e.g. for Frontier Airlines instead of the default A320Neo? An airport full of A330 lookalikes instead of A32x and 737 variants? No, thanks...

I mean if you are willing to put up with the ugliness and are willing to wait for the sake of accuracy, 🙂

My 2 cents is that I get a sour taste in my mouth when I read posts from developers commenting about products from their competitors.

That "developer" is fixing and enhancing (massively so) for free what other developers can't do for money. This is not your classic case of shrewd business practices, sorry.

Yes but they have their own threads to discuss their offering.

Well I since I installed the freeware version (which was like 1st step download IVAO models, 2nd step install mod) I didn't have to do anything either, but well, each to their own I guess...

ummm.... what?

I have followed thing closely (I thought) but exactly what '2 step' process are you talking about?

xbox AND PC... at least for me.

They may be on track for a release in the next few months,  I am sure that anything else (free, donation or pay) may see the light of day sometime in the summer of 2022
