Simple traffic

Featured Replies

I know that Simple traffic will use the default Asobo models, so this is not a critique of Aerosoft, but of Asobo. How difficult can / will it be for Asobo to correct the models like the pointy nose and the A380, which doesn't look anything like an A380?  Being someone who haven't gotten the slightest clue about aircraft modelling, I still guess it must be fairly easy to remodel them, or please correct me if I'm wrong.

Jorg mentioned that they will likely crank out more AI related work moving forward, now that the Reno DLC nonsense is completed. That is until they come up with another DLC nonsense. 🙂

I’m getting tired of this racing and combat DLCs. If you’re into that kinda stuff you should check out DCS or IL2. Hope MSFS keeps the focus on commercial and general aviation only. We will get those critical updates much sooner like weather API , better AI or AIG integration etc. stuff that matters for simmers like us.

Reno isn't nonsense lol. It's really fun, and it lead to them improving the flight physics event more.

I know, I know... I'm just being selfish and want my AI (and other bugs fixed) but they clearly put a lot of resources on Reno, which he admitted openly.

I've got a question around this product. We have been told by Jörg numerous times Microsoft needs permission from airlines for any single livery they want to use, and these permissions are very hard to get. As a result, we have to live with those ugly green-white, yellow-white etc. airliners.

Now Aerosoft is about to publish a package comprising a host of liveries - obviously they can do it. I don't dare to ask at their forum, but do you think they got all those permissions which MS didn't succeed?

The same does of course apply to Just Flight with their Traffic Global, Flight1 with the (now abandoned) Ultimate Traffic, and similar packages.

I don't want even to touch upon all those freeware liveries, but perhaps they fall under different rules (which I am not at all sure about, though).

The livery matter is a complete mystery to me.

Kind regards, Michael

its not worth the time for a airline to take a small company like aerosoft to court, but a airline would love to take a company the size of microsoft to court, it was said on a Q&A last year,

Okay, thanks. That's one of the directions my thoughts revolved about.

There's no combat in that DLC as far as we know. They won't even let third parties put static weapons on their aircraft on the Marketplace, so I doubt it will have anything like that.

It will most likely be like the FSX Acceleration expansion, a jet and probably a working aircraft carrier.

Of course, you could have all that today, for free, and even with better plane models, so I hope this is really cheap in price...
