Bonanza Turbo V4 -Su6 RELEASED

Featured Replies

Hi Rob: Thank you so much for this update. I've had your Spitfire XIV since Mar, 2005, and she has been flown regularly since that time: She is still my favourite - and one of my very best-flying and most realistic aircraft in the stable. , and you freely gave out updates for that aircraft as FSX faded and P3D came along.
With MSFS 2020 now pushing all others aside - most of us feel pretty happy - even excited about the almost-perfect graphics we now have, but very short-changed in many ways when it comes to strapping on something which we can actually enjoy flying - in a manner as is did for years, in those other "old" sims; it's been a hard pill to swallow, but your mod makes me pretty confident it'll get fixed, one way or another. Your selfless leadership, and the work you put into your mods for the Bonanza (as with the avionics mods from the "Working Title" guys) - have shown the flight sim world that fixes absolutely can be done - and in a relatively short time.
I have downloaded the v4 from the Github site - but, feeling a strong need to give a donation because of the above - how long before the Nexus site will be up again? Github doesn't have this.

All the very best,

pj

Edit!
Well - Stoopid me! - there's a link in the Readme. . . . My thanks are on their way. .

Hi Robert! Thanks so much for the update but most importantly pleased to hear you are feeling better. Prayerful your health continues to improve!

System: i9-14900K, Asus ROG Z790 MB, 64GB ram, Samsung 4TB NVMe SSD, Asus ROG Strix 4090, Pimax Crystal Light

Hardware: VitualFly Yoko yoke, VirtualFly TQ6+ throttle quadrant, Thrustmaster TPR pedals, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS

Simulations: MSFS 2024 and 2020 (VR), P3Dv5.3 (VR), X-Plane 11.5 (VR), DCS (VR)

I was able to download the v4.zip file but the compression is corrupt.  Gonna have to wait a little longer as this gets sorted out.  Thanks Robert.

Could someone please advise: For some reason my usual method of uploading images doesn't work. I used to use an auto embed image generator but none of them work for avsim. If I click on upload image url nothing happens. The images are on my google drive but I can't find a way to embed them in my post!!

Well... it's not easy!!!!

Paste your original link here:

Personally, I never use DropBox for images. I prefer [the free] Postimage: https://postimages.org/.

Many thanks for all your hard work!!!

raymar, just try the download again. Something must have happened during it's trip to you. My download just now was not problematic.

Hi Ray, If it does not work the second time, send me a PM and I will arrange a non zipped version, but I'm pretty certain it should work.

Works with Working Title's excellent G1000 NXi

Hi Rob, glad you're doing ok now and the Bonanza is back!.

Just one question: does it still work with the Legacy WT G1000?. The reason I'm still using it is that I also use the GTN750 from PMS50, and the WT G1000 NXi is not yet compatible with the GTN.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you Robert. The turbo Bonanza is the only GA aircraft That I fly in MSFS. I’m thrilled to see you back and I hope all is well.

Looking forward with great excitement to V4!

Gosh. That's a lot of flight hours in one aircraft. Hope you enjoy V4 even more.

I'm fairly sure it will work as there is nothing in the V4 coding which should cause any issues with the original G1000. Let me know if you have any problems. BTW I always had the occasional freeze with the WT G1000 but I have a feeling SU6 might have fixed that.

C

Carl,

I just completed a short flight in v4 Turbo and everything worked perfectly.  Robert is a true master with this stuff.  Nice. Waiting for his DA62 magic next.

Ray
