Just 7 more days until the release of our Game of the Year Edition and the Reno Air Races DLC. What new feature are you looking forward to the most: one of the new planes, airports, missions, cities, or tutorials? Or perhaps the updated weather system, or early access to DX12? Or maybe you’re planning on purchasing the Reno Air Races to race against your fellow pilots. No matter how you play MSFS, we are excited for next Thursday and look forward to continuing this journey with you.

Announced yesterday, Aerosoft’s CRJ 900/1000 is now available in the PC Marketplace!

SDK UPDATE

• General
  • The development branches were locked last week for Sim Update 7, the Game of the Year Edition and the Reno Air Races expansion, so the SDK team spent time scrubbing through the backlog and planning out work for the coming months.
  • As discussed during a recent Dev Q&A, we are planning on using Sim Update 8 to focus on existing bugs and to address frequently reported issues from the community.

 

3RD PARTY UPDATE

• As of 11/07, we have approved 225 (+0) third parties into the in-sim marketplace and – so far 124 (+0) have released 623 products on PC (+27) and 292 on Xbox (+26).
• In total, 1,459 products (+19) have already been released in 3rd party stores and the in-sim marketplace. Beyond that, another 393 products (+3) from 3rd party developers are in production (260 announced, 133 unannounced). In total, over 1,852 3rd party products (+22) are either released or are in development.
• Airports:
  • 1150 airports (+5) are either released or are in various stages of development.
    • 933 airports (+7) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
    • 504 airports (+19) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
    • 108 airports (+1) beyond the released airports have been announced.
    • 109 airports (-3) are not announced, but the dev let us know that an airport is in production.
• Aircraft:
  • 237 aircraft (+4) are either released or are in various stages of development.
    • 78 aircraft (+1) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
    • 50 aircraft (+3) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
    • 135 aircraft (+3) beyond the released aircraft have been announced.
    • 24 aircraft (+0) are not announced, but the dev let us know that an aircraft is in production.
• Scenery:
  • 420 sceneries (+13) are either released or are in various stages of development.
    • 403 sceneries (+11) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
    • 42 sceneries (+4) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
    • 17 sceneries (+2) beyond the released scenery have been announced.
• Mission Packs:
  • 45 mission packs (+0) are either released or are in various stages of development.
    • 45 mission packs (+0) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
    • 4 mission packs (+0) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
    • 0 mission packs (+0) beyond the released missions have been announced.

 

MARKETPLACE UPDATES

There are 36 new products (16 on PC, 20 on Xbox), and 13 updated products (9 on PC, 4 on Xbox) in the Marketplace today.

Hope they acknowledge the remarkable release of AI traffic this week by AIG in the next update as the featured freeware mod or something like that.

Very interesting that they actually mention AIG in their updates 

I guess seeing as it's a voter based wish list openly collated on the official forum it's refreshing to see it acknowledged by the devs.

The only mention of AIG is in the Top Wishes list.  I'd like to see some specific mention and a paragraph or two.  Perhaps make the picture of the week contest about busy airports

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt as say perhaps the release above was drafted and approved prior to the AIG release this week.

 

If not, and they seriously think that 3500 ships in the English Channel is more worthy of their "freeware of the week MOD" than the AIG release then they're just deluded.

It's on their feedback snapshot which states 'under investigation' meaning they're looking into it and there is a release estimate of '2022'

there is an H1 and H2 for delivery date in the Top Bugs (#2) - never seen that before and it's not in the Key. Anyone know what it means?

Thats a good thing, that means at the very least they know the AI needs improvement & that they are aware of AIG and what can be done to make traffic more realistic.

H1= 1st half of the year.

H2= 2nd half of the year.

The Wishlist is compiled by the Microsoft arm of the team, not the actual Devs. Also the Devs themselves have mentioned AIG in the Q&As before, so they know about them.
