I'll never know. I only even found out about nano after I had already installed the new driver.

No harm in trying it I suppose. Here goes...

Of course, such framerates are probably only the gold standard for people like me, who are heavily into VR...

471.41 works great for me. No stutters, no problems.

I fact, I still have the old 471.11, from last June, and all good with it.

I'll update to 496.76 this week, as part of the six-months update routine that's good enough for me.

Cheers, Ed

I was able to change to the new 497.09 driver with normal results, BUT only AFTER disabling the HAGS.

I tried turning on HAGS today, out of curiosity, and it had no effect, good or bad on the sim.

EDIT: Also tried it using DX12. Again, no issues. (Well... DX12 FPS is very inconsistent)

Oh I thought this problem was only AMD. I got into AMD 6600 XT for the first time, Since it was getting hard/expensive to get GTX.

i thought Let me try AMD. The card is quite good, Performance is satisfactory. ...But the driver is....It stops working I have to reboot at least twice or three times a day.

I never had GTX driver give me grief. But then I never had top of the line card anycase.

I just bought a 3080ti card today. Any idea which “old” driver I should use?

Interesting…with beta having all kinds of stutters and wildly inconsistent fps…not great.  Using dx11 and latest gtx 3090.

i have really high end system and can’t figure out why I have so many issues getting smooth experience…

Try turning off any overclocking.

I don't think I have any overclocking on.  How do I check for that?

Believe you would know if it were as you would have manually done it. Get yourself an App like "MSI afterburner" and check.

I would think if you don't know if you are overclocking, you very likely are NOT overclocking.  Overclocking is something we tech geeks manually setup on our PC's. If you didn't go through that exercise (and you would know if you did!) then you aren't overclocking.
