Majestic Q400 1.024 Update

Featured Replies

Morning guys, got an email from Justflight that the Q400 has been updated.

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Majestic Software have provided new installers for the following Dash 8 add-ons:

  • PILOT Edition (for P3D v4/v5)
  • PRO Edition (for P3D v4/v5)
  • TRAINING Edition
  • COCKPIT Edition
  • PILOT and PRO Editions Visual Extension Package

The latest updates provide a fix for the copy protection algorithm, which eliminates the protection experienced by users of the new Intel Gen12 CPU. Some minor fixes are also included.

If you log in to your Just Flight account and click on 'Your Orders', you will be able to re-download the software you have purchased to get the latest version.

Best wishes,

The Just Flight Crew"

Didn't get any email from Simmarket for the Visual Extension package but I checked and the update is there too. Should be in the other stores as well.

excellent.  I've been flying the Q400 again almost exclusively.  So the timing is incredible.

Hi Dave,

Were you affected by the copy protection issue since you have an Alder Lake platform?

Hey Mark.  I was.  The very first run or two I wasn't.  Then it started happening.  I replaced the cpan file and things were good for a few weeks.  Then out of the blue it started acting up again.  Just installed the update this morning.  On first few runs everything is normal.  Fingers crossed.  Were you?

Hey Dave,

Glad to here things are looking promising with that update!

No. I have the Majestic Q400, but I am still running on my 8700K . I am in the planning stages of an Alder Lake system but havent ordered one yet. Still humming and erring about whether a RTX 3070  is good enough or whether to splash the cash on a RTX 3080 12Gb if/when they become available.

Cheers.

I’ve almost completed a full GIT profile for the Q, will share on Steve’s site after I do some testing this weekend.  Using a mouse is so old school 1980s tech 🙂 … being hardcore and all 🏋🏼‍♀️

Cheers Rob

what is a git profile for?  I'm curious and intrigued!

It's and awesome tool ... also provides some insight to aircraft development.

GIT and the shop ... and Steve has now added a new product he's been working on Virtual Flight Sim Hardware so that we can simulate any control interaction on an iOS/Android/Windows tablet ... super slick!

Works with FSX, P3D, Xplane, MSFS ... it's what I use to make all this work:

I like to virtual fly several different types of aircraft.

Cheers, Rob.

Me too Rob , really like your setup there. But no bus?

That setup is amazing!

Just wondering if I'm missing something obvious.  I just fired up P3D V5.3 for the first time in a long while, and decided to install my Pilot version of the MJCQ400.  In the sim she looks just fine, I can fire up the engines, etc., no weird issues with the displays at all - but the CPAN simply doesn't work.  It doesn't recognize my yoke, throttles, or rudder pedals - nada.  And changing the settings and hitting apply doesn't do anything either.  I've got exclusions running for the CPAN in Win11's virus stuff  etc.

Any suggestions or ideas ?  Thanks...

Mark

I think I've seen that on a Star Trek episode. Cool!

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

great setup Rob.  This is what I wish I had.  Although hard to justify the cost when I also fly other planes.

For some reason when I went to my Just Flight account to update, and clicked on my order of the "Pilot Edition," the Majestic Software MJC8-Q400 COCKPIT edition is what appeared. Anyone know what is up with this?

Cheers, Pete

Quick question about the update: uninstall (via Windows) first and install again, or is this an incremental update that can be install over the previous installation?
