Thanks guys!

@regis9 On the other side of the scale, what a/c will have the most automation? Are you referring to automation for navigation (SIDS, STARS, flight plans etc) or for flying the a/c (V speeds, speed brakes, auto throttle etc) or both?

Pretty much all of those things to some extent.  Though on all of them you'll still need to do the flight planning, setting SIDS/STARS but the aircraft will fly the flight plan and help to execute the SIDS/STARS if everything is set up properly at the start of the flight.  Speed brakes would be manually operated other than upon landing or rejected takeoff when they can be set to automatically deploy.  Of the aircraft expected out soon, I'd say the  A320 (Fenix) is the most automated (or has the greatest opportunities for automation) closely followed by the 737 (PMDG).

I think it's funny that the "older" crowd has less patience than the younger Twitch viewers.
This isn't the same as a Youtube video. It's a livestream where Fabio is the host, editor, studio technician, flight planner, dispatch agent, pilot and copilot at the same time.
It's his style to take time to go through things properly and interacting with the chat. The interaction is the point of Twitch.
Fabio does know aviation very well, he used to be a pilot and and has worked for FlightSafety for years before he quit and started streaming. His passion is sharing his knowledge.
For me, I watch Twitch streams on my 2nd monitor so it's running the background when I do something more useful. It's very social.

That being said, the 146 seems pretty nice, might pick it up.

Since I have some very knowledgeable folks here, can you recommend a good info source for panel familiarization and aircraft operation?

Depends what the subject and media is.  When I read there is a BAe 146 livestream, I expect to view the 146, not ages of chat.  I often use Twitch, but not a channel where a lot of the content has nothing to do with what I logged on for.  Nothing wrong at all with the stream, just not my taste in presentation.

I find it more distasteful that you felt the need to bring ageism into the thread.

CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D  RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090
Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

Its not ageism that why he speechmarked "older".

My guess is that Twitch is going to be pretty big, including MSFS 2020 (embrace it)

I didn't bring it into the thread. Multiple people said they were too old for this. So now you can get rid of your distastefulness.
