AS Simple Traffic Updated

Featured Replies

Version 1.2.1.0:

  • Added 32 airlines
  • Included support for additional parking codes
  • Do read the manual for the limitations and tips

No mention of which airlines, but at least is still being updated.

Let me guess: 32x new repaints for the lovely A330 lookalike? 🤭

You're criticizing a component of the software thats not included, nor ever was supposed to be included. Everyone going into that purchase knows it doesn't change the default traffic models, it's just gives whats there, real world liveries.

i had this installed 5 mninutes or so and then deleted it as i couldn't get used of the ugly looking planes...

It does the job ….for now

Well, to me it then results in a question about how you define "reality" no? An Ryanair repaint on a A330 lookalike is in my opinion further away from a "real world livery" than the total fictional ones from FSX days. It is more like putting a Ferrari paint with logos on a Toyota Yaris and sell it as a Ferrari in a racing game. Bet this would not be accepted...

But offtopic in the end and the discussion was already made elsewhere, sorry for hijacking this thread which is about the update...

How did you get used to them before there was another option available?

Looked before I bought. Read the blurb before I bought. I knew what it was and then paid up so absolutely no complaints here. It gives a good background feel to the airports IMO.

Glad they've given it some more attention.

AIG has better looking models, more diversity, and smoother routes, but it's time consuming to update & their AIG TC is unreliable.

I can't wait until ASOBO starts improving the core sim. The AI traffic needs some love & attention.

AIG has done wonders for MSFS and I'll continue to try it it as updates are released.

As for the TC, you probably mean it crashes a lot. Well it does, but once you enable the compatability setting for the .exe with WIN8 or WIN7, it doesn‘t crash again. Try it.
As for the updates (flightplans I suppose you are talking about), well it depends on how long you didnt update, but it‘s not like you have to update.

As for the rest, I agree.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Thanks for the tip. I need to try by enabling win 7 compatibility.

my sentiments exactly.. A southwest A330 with a learjet like pointy nose and a Ryanair A380 with sharklets ?? yes, as real as it gets..

Better than spending hours screwing around with other AI solutions trying to get it to work. Been down the AIG road before, rather get 4 root canals. 😉
