Anything in this update that helps GSX get to release?

Not really.

There's a nasty Simconnect bug related to keyboard events handling, which we obviously reported as soon we found out. that will not affect just GSX, but each and every other add-on that use Simconnect to handle key events, and it basically means once an application ask to intercept a key from the sim, the subsequent call to tell we are done, don't need that key anymore, doesn't work. And in addition to that, even if that application quits, if you restart it, it will get double notifications for each key pressed, if you start it again, it will get 3 notifications, and so on, with a cascading effect which I guess will be multiplied by the number of application doing the same, with the only resort to restart the simulator.

This is likely causing a progressive spamming of useless notifications to apps, without even mentioning the chance to trigger unexpected behaviors, because those apps *think* they turned off the key notification, but the sim ignored it, so they might not always be able to handle unexpected multiple (and useless) notifications, happening when they don't expect ( because they cannot be turned off ).

I've posted a C++ code sample taken from the official Simconnect SDK showing the bug, together with a video showing that erratic behavior in action and, if that wasn't enough, the SAME source code (an MSFS SDK sample!! ), compiled with the P3D SDK and running in P3D, working perfectly fine there.

Can anyone who isn't in the beta check if Miramar has ATC? in the Beta it's only giving me traffic advisory, and I'm almost certain it was controlled before.

I haven't flown there since the Iberia world update either.

Just a headup. There are reports on CTDs upon startup on the official forum, seeming to be related to FSUIPC, SPAD.neXt, or possibly other Simconnect-based programs. I use SPAD.neXt and reproduce the CTDs. Will investigate further (deactive simconnect.xml...) to help nailing the cause.

Kind regards, Michael

AIG's Traffic Controller works fine, it uses simconnect. But it's possible it doesn't use any of the functions causing the crash.

Yeah, I had CTD after update. Fully uninstalled FSUIPC and Sim back to normal. Definitely SU9 doesn't like Simconnect.

Jorg does a lot of VR so I am sure he is aware of the issue with VR.

If he was aware then fixes would've been made, I'm tired of his excuses and attitude. It's clear VR means very little to them, otherwise it would'nt have taken such a massive regression since SU5, the very fact that SU7 existing VR bugs have not been addressed in this SU9 beta speaks volumes.

I love the Sim, I detest the managers, they need removing, this team needs new blood to take forward.

Anyone else not getting proper ATC at airports? I'm only getting traffic advisory all every airport, except the FSDreamTeam CYVR I have installed from the marketplace. I'm writing a bug report now, but I'd like to know if it's happening to anyone else first.

AI Objects using old audio format won't be super loud in the cockpit anymore.

it's all based on priorities. I bet only 2% of the user base is using VR.

This is pretty huge actually. Hopefully we don’t need to hear the Carenado boat sounds anymore in multiplayer.

expect some mods to be broken. I still can't load the beta. I have to find which mods is causing the CTD on loading. so heads up everyone.

If you still need this .... either FSUIPC or the TDS GTNxi were causing me a CTD. Both are in the exe.xml which I finally disabled and got a load to main menu.

According to the latest Navigraph survey, 15% of flightsimmers are using VR. Now subtract a few % for beginners not taking the survey but on the other hand consider the percentage was growing by 4 % over the 2020 survey.

I am among those who would *love* more attention for VR as well.
