5th April 2022 - Beta Update

I didn't expect the ground service animations to fixed so quickly. The CTDs sure (the ones they could diagnose)

I did. The reason being, literally everyone is affected the same way, therefore the dev team can see it themselves on every flight session and therefore debug it.

So many issues reported are not experienced by every user, such as FPS reducing over long flights, and indeed this hasn't been experienced (so far) by the team, including 24-hour flights that testers have been doing.

That's always the issue with bug fixing: the development team need to be able to reproduce a bug in their own development environment before they can begin to debug it.

So a quick fix for ground animations is definitely something I expected.

Sneaky sneaky Asobo, clouds are pixelated once more after this update. I knew it wouldn't last long.

Noooooo

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

There are currently severe mesh issues all over.

MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320,  Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28

Yup, i saw quite a lot of pixalated clouds today. The first for awhile.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

I think it depends on the situation. It is easy to find examples without the banding in 1.25.5

That’s for that captain obvious. We know. These people are just reporting what they are seeing in the beta.

You are most welcome.

Beta 1.25.5 fixed the issue with FSUIPC (among other things) causing a CTD, but now it seems I can't get FSUIPC to automatically load thru the exe.xml file as it did previously. Tried a reinstall of the current version 7.3.0.2 but that didn't help.

With the habit of updates breaking things which were working, I wonder if this is just another snafu we have to work around.

I'll gladly be wrong though.

My FSUIPC loads just fine automatically through exe.xml with the newest beta.

I just did a FBW flight from Pittsburgh to Baltimore and it was very nice. It was a night flight in moderate to heavy rain and the proper amount of mist / fog in P'burgh and a nice overcast with a 1,300' ceiling in B'more. Overall, the weather was pretty darn good and was true to the METARS I read.

Performance was really great as well. I had zero stutters the entire flight.

They did fix the animations, but the ground crew still loads the baggage on arrival. 🤡

Working fine for me. Before you reinstalled FSUIPC, did you uninstall it and delete the exe.xml file?

I let the new installer uninstall the older version and install the new one. That's all I've ever done in the past and never had a problem. Install log file doesn't complain about anything and my key is recognized and accepted.

New fsuipc7.ini file with AutoConnectToSim=yes.

I'll think about it while watching the Masters.
