The RV14 cruise speed is 176 ktas at 75% power(203 mph true)  Many people are misreading the stats because Van's lists them in MPH.  The airspeed indicator in the SWS version is in knots.  Also Indicated airspeed in knots is different than true airspeed in knots (and MPH for that matter).

So all that aside you'll see about 152 knots, indicated, on the G3X display at 8000 ft, max gross weight, and ISA (standard atmosphere aka Clear Skies in MSFS).  That's probably around 24" and 2400 rpm. about 75% power.

That makes sense indeed. I do know the difference between IAS, True airspeed, but I did not notice that SWS was talking in MPH. So, thanks for pointing that out. In either case, I think the RV-14 is a joy to fly in the sim and I have no complaints overall. 🙂

AMD Ryzen 9900X3D & ASUS X870E Gaming Plus MB, w/64 Gb GSkill DDR5 RAM, PNY RTX 5090 GPU, lots of SSD's and M.2 drives, HAVN  Case, Virpil VPC Panels 2 and 3, Virpil Constellation Alpha Stick, Virpil Rotor TCS Plus w/ Hawk-60 Collective grip, TM TCA Yoke Boeing Edition, TM HOTAS A-10 and F/A-18 Sticks and TM TPR Rudder pedals. Currently on Win11

Wish I had more of a chance to fly the plane hehe.  It's actually a pet peeve that manufacturers list their speeds in mph.... grrrrrr

You purchased a BETA product!!

Since when do beta products regress? I bought a beta product which I was led to believe would improve?

Lol...I know what you mean...the last two weeks have been crazy busy (in a great way) for MSFS. So many great releases all of a sudden (although many of us suspected this would happen). It is one awesome simmer release wave right now. And that goes for scenery too! In the last two weeks, I have purchased the RV-14, the BAe 146 and now the MV 310, and I want to fly them all right now..lol! And, on top of that, I still really enjoy flying the PMDG DC-6 and the FSW 414. Such a good dilemma to be in 🙂

To be fair, nobody led you anywhere.  A beta of an extremely complicated aircraft may very well regress - doesn't matter how much testing there is, the end user will always find new bugs.

Since the very nature of beta is a state of flux until release candidacy is achieved.  This is nothing new.

I do not agree. Given the fact that I paid for this product I am disappointed to see regressions or basic faults. Beta or not. I am not a beta tester. 1.7 was OK. 1.8 is not.

Whether you agree or not with the common definition and understanding of beta processes is immaterial other than you should heed the written word better next time.  A state of flux is not a state of regression unless the regression becomes permanent I.e., that regression makes its way into release, which it quite clearly has not yet.

So the good news is your only have a short time to be unhappy and throw a tantrum unless the thing you are complaining about is truly an error that makes its way into release

You may have been the person that the developer had in mind when they posted the clear caveat on the website.

If it's not a regression could you please let me know how to resolve my issue with the flight model with regard to the cruise speed? It may well be by fault? Why can't I get above 145 knots even if I'm at full throttle?

If it is indeed a problem rest assure that FSW will fix it...they are a top notch developer albeit a small one. I have never been disappointed with them and once the bird is out of beta I am willing to bet it will be as good as it gets in MSFS.

Sure.  A) Wait a week for the new build.  B) Notify/ask vendor about issue in support forum here at AvSim or in their Discord channel.

It is not your fault I suspect since other aircraft seem to have slowed down a bit since SU9 and it's also been stated earlier in this thread that the dev is tweaking the flight model still and had adjusted drag settings so its still WIP. You're getting the same speed out of it that I did when flying it earlier this week.  No big.

Are you serious? You bought software clearly marked (in bold. Twice) BETA. And you use that software. You are, by its very definition, a BETA TESTER.

You are right. My mistake. First time ever n thirty years I've paid to be a beta tester.

I do not agree.

They couldn't have been clearer you were not buying the finished product.

I am using the "TDS GTN750" and I am running the "TDSGTNXiFlightSimEXE.exe, I do have the pop-ups available. But My panel screens are black.  I have Navigation Source in the app screen set to "Flight Simulator". I had no problems yesterday when I used the TDS in the "Milviz 310". Any thoughts. Thanks.

Update: My apologies, I just realized the error of my ways. Simple solution, I should have chosen the livery for the 750NXi. This has been mentioned in the forums previously as well.
