You are right. My mistake. First time ever n thirty years I've paid to be a beta tester.

At least they made it public that its BETA.

MS and ASOBO didn't tell us MSFS was beta. I thought I was getting a finished product with fancy weather and flight dynamics when I pre purchased it.

A year plus it is greatly improved but doesn't change the fact that I feel wronged.

Still, I must admit that MSFS is for me the future.

Big news with this update -

1.9.0

NEW FEATRUES:

1. New engine sounds from SimAcousics. New Wind sounds. Both new features change volume based on side windows.

2. Altitude alerter 1000ft tone.

UPDATES:

1. Starter crank sound now needs battery and other various sounds all tied to the battery bus.

2. Fuel flow rate and engine power updated.

3. VOR 2 gauge on the GNS530 panel GS and NAV red flags now hide when active.

4. DME logic and format issues fixed.

Thanks for the heads-up @6297J!

As nice as that other new Cessna twin is (and it's very nice) I still get a kick out of flying this one and realize I miss flying it in the last few days.  Can't wait to try out the update.

"That's what" - She

I've got a new favorite! She sounds beautifully now!

I have some RL experience with the 414 (though mostly 402s) and also that "other" Cessna, and I must say the handling of the 414 is much closer to what I remember than the MV310, which for my taste is a bit too temperamental in pitch. The 414 also feels much more solid on approach (though maybe a little floaty at then end) whereas the 310 starts to drop like a lead balloon if you don't approach 15-20kts faster than we would have done in RL.

My only gripe for now with the 414 is the prop animation. The MV bird beats it hands-down on that count.

The new sounds are amazing. We are so lucky to have two such great twins.

How is the fps performance with this aircraft in the sim?

As unnoticeable for me as the other twin. If you don't yet have it, you will love it.

have this one and the other one, the 414 has something I like more but I think there are no persistence plans and that's why I only fly the c310.

Agree.. Beta 1.9 is very nice, indeed!

The autopilot seems more stable, and the new sounds are the "cherry on top" 🙂

Not much to complain about at this stage.. must be close to general release, I would think..

Then we'll have two solid twins, the C310 and the C414..

And then we need a solid single, the Lancair Legacy with analogue gauges LOL

Kidding we already have a few solid singles...

Decisions decisions...this or the 310...

I am guessing folks are going to say get both.

If it weren't for the fact that the autopilots (there are 2 options) in the 414 are really buggy (and haven't been binded to MSFS key commands; meaning you have to use a mouse with them), then the 414 would win it for me... although the C310 is really lovely.   My gripe with the C310 is that, visually, the panel is identical to the C310 they released for FSX, then FSX (Redux) then P3D, then X-Plane.   Same colours, main gauges, same (not great) GNS head unit textures (although I'm sure re-rendered for MSFS's new materials).   Point being that, as amazing the features are in the new C310, from the cockpit, it looks like I'm in FSX 😁  ... I wish they'd given us just a little refresh or update (or change!) to the panel, rather than an almost identical one that has been shipping with the previous 4 versions of their C310.

However, the 414's AP bugs are a bit of a showstopper for me, so as it stands, the C310 gets my vote as it's pretty much bug-free in my experience of it.

PS.... I haven't tried the recently released new version 1.9 of the 414.... might it finally fix the AP bugs?

At present, only one of them is fully released, the other is still in beta.. 😉

I think the dev here has been fantastic, ok at first updates were numerous, and on occasion some updates had issues. But overall i am glad i bought this aircraft in the Beta ( i think the dev himself got a shock as to how many folk bought it )

Now it must be pretty much spot on. Either or both of these twins are fully worth it imo.
