Just had a lovely flight in the C414.. feels right to me!

Also, autopilot worked correctly, from take-off to a flawless LPV landing.. 🙂

Yeah 1.70 was perfect except the performance numbers.  Maybe they fixed them here in 1.80?

Just curious, are any other aircraft slower than normal since SU9?  I took the SWS Van's RV-14 for a long-ish haul last night and it took forever.  With a normal load I could only get it to the hundred-teens indicated at 7000 feet, 140 kts groundspeed with full manifold pressure, RPM pulled back where it should be (2200 ish) and mixture set just barely lean of peak. Flaps tucked in and cowl flaps closed.  Not the performance I thought I saw when I first flew it pre-SU9.

Well, I did not purchase the SWS Van;s RV-14 until AFTER SU9 was released (and installed), so I can't say how much faster it was before. That said, I did read the manual and the stats about the RV-14, so I did expect it to be quicker, but instead, I am experiencing speed more like you are. From what I read, it should cruise close to 200ish kts, but I have not got anywhere near that. Of course, I have not done any deeper research as I have only flown it a few times and didn't think about the slowness until I read your post. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K 😉

I'm using the PMS [payware] 750 (latest version) along with the latest version of the C414. Still won't capture an ILS signal if GPS mode was used previously.

Not sure why this is so hard to fix....

I too have the same version and everything is updated. I do not currently have any issues capturing the ILS. I wonder what we are doing differently?

This is with and without the WTT test patch as well.

I have the same question, I am using the Edgley Optica and cannot take off any more on a runway used for fighters... Full throttle on a three-kilometer runway does not allow me to leave the ground. And that only happened after SU9, never had this issue before when flying the bush in Africa with high temperature and dirt runways.

What is the WTT test patch?

On the PMS50 discord page they released a WTT test file that uses some of the Working Title "stuff" to be used in the Chancellor and his version of the 750.

Wow! that made all the difference for me. Now the autopilot functions as it should. Woo Hoo! I guess it was the GTN and not the C414 all this time...

With the 1.8 patch I can't get the plane to cruise beyond a measly 150 knots TAS at 15000ft. Even if I whack power to full.
Is this correct for a 414?

Methinks it's borked again or it's something to do with the PMS fix? I know it's a beta but really?

EDIT nah. 1.8 is borked. Screw this. I've paid £40 and I'm a beta tester??..

As gently as possible I would like to point out that "beta" is in the title of this thread...

Yes, you literally are, since you bought a beta.

The RV14 cruise speed is 176 ktas at 75% power(203 mph true)  Many people are misreading the stats because Van's lists them in MPH.  The airspeed indicator in the SWS version is in knots.  Also Indicated airspeed in knots is different than true airspeed in knots (and MPH for that matter).

So all that aside you'll see about 152 knots, indicated, on the G3X display at 8000 ft, max gross weight, and ISA (standard atmosphere aka Clear Skies in MSFS).  That's probably around 24" and 2400 rpm. about 75% power.
