May 8, 20224 yr "Days not months" suggests to me within a month. If he said "days not weeks" I'd consider that within a week. Either way. busy May continues.

May 8, 20224 yr Days after the hotfix for SU9. There is no timeline for the SU9 hotfix at the moment. And if they do a public opt-in beta for the hotfix like they did for the SU7 hotfix, tack on another week or so of public opt-in beta testing time. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Which is actually pretty impressive. also a very different feel to the last PMDG thread I read over there, which overall had a vibe that was very hostile to the company. I think marketing is more complex than you make out. Most flightsim companies don’t attempt hype like PMDG does, and that’s probably a good thing. Doesn’t matter, Fenix are doing a promotional period before the release. Go back a few pages and read Aamir’s comment, So Aamir sees it more of my way than your way. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Hope someone does a high quality A330, A350 I know Aerosoft is doing an A330, but over recent years, I've lost faith in any aircraft they do

May 8, 20224 yr PMDG doesn't inspire confidence in me, his cheap preacher marketing doesn't help either. I only have DC6 from them and I don't use it because it didn't work with dx12, I have never used their products outside of this simulator, but I also read a lot of bad reviews from Lnav etc. Phoenix they are unknown yes, but I get the feeling they are much more serious people, they are dedicated to work not to cry because Asobo are the Devil

Please note that you are not allowed to make posts that are negative - or which could be perceived by others to be negative -regarding PMDG until your total post count has reached 500. You may make critical comments about Carenado after your 100th post. For Captain Sim, this can start on day 1. Thank you for your cooperation. Most of the major 3rd party devs won’t make new products for P3D, unless it’s scenery products they are targeting for MSFS that happen to be easily ported to P3D. They still support the their past P3D products, but that’s pretty much it, no more new products (aside from scenery products) for P3D. For XP 12, Austin needs to hit a grand slam for XP 12 to turn things around for XP. By grand slam, I mean something so revolutionary for XP 12, that it can get the attention of the majority of the flight sim community to go with XP 12. From the previews of XP 12 I have seen so far, there is nothing that is revolutionary. Still no satellite & photogrammetry coverage of the entire world, with 2D satellite objects converted to 3D objects (they need to hire a company like Blackshark AI to convert 2D satellite objects to 3D objects). The graphics of the XP 12 preview are still behind MSFS. The FPS of the XP 12 preview also seems to be worse than MSFS (ie. that Tomcat video in XP 12 had horrible FPS, it was actually stuttering and that’s a preview video too). So to be fair, the preview videos of XP 12 are not the final release version of XP 12 so things may change by release. But yeah, there is nothing revolutionary about XP 12 that I see so far. And without anything revolutionary about XP 12, I see more people switching from XP to MSFS, especially with all the study level airliners finally being released in MSFS. Nope, at least not for me (yes, I got the sarcasm) Still I think his points are weak. - "cheap preacher marketing" - Ok, this one I can accept. I don't see it this way, but it's his subjective opinion, fine with me - DX12: it's beta / experimental and problems are to be expected. PMDG would be stupid to keep chasing this moving target, especially when it's likely that issues will be fixed in one of the future sim updates - "I read bad reviews" - and I read lots of good reviews too. While problems can be found if you dig deep for them, PMDG has been one of the most reliable 3PDs in the flight sim world. Not with regard to keeping their time schedules, but their quality and support has been better than most. That's why I think it's more than justified to criticise his criticism of PMDG.
