While this discussion is certainly interesting, just popping in to say we are going to be doing some marketing before we actually launch, and we're aiming for concise but not sparse. There'll be hours upon hours of media before a buy now button appears, you just won't be waiting weeks for that moment.

Heh, I thought so!

I also forgot that Chewwy, Fabio, KatiePilot, and Blackbox are all on your beta testing team.  Coincidentally, they are all live streamers too 😉

Hehe Chewwy is still on holiday, if you don't wait he'll be livid 🤣

He should be fortunate he was a beta tester. On squirrel don't stop no show. We have Katie, Blackbox and that annoying Fabio dude to tie us over.

you want to retract calling Fenix 'dumb'

I didn’t say they were dumb?  Please don’t put words in mouth.

At the same time, maybe you should admit you were wrong.  Fenix is doing a promotional period, as expected. You were absolutely wrong,

Aamir and the Fenix are pretty smart.  Good thing they aren’t following your recommendation of releasing the Fenix A320 without a promotional period.

. I doubt not releasing a bunch of teaser pics/rambling posts/hidden pricing/youtube streamers prior to release is gonna hurt them that badly.

Yeah, I don't think so.  From Aamir's quote above, he doesn't agree with you, lol.

We're censoring the word "dumb", now? Where does it end? I do however, agree with what you said about marketing and promotion, though.

There are so many "word not allowed" auto-replacements active on Avsim that it can sometimes improve readibility to preemptively censor yourself 😉

I'm dumbfounded that the word "dumb" is allowed 😂

Please not Chewwy! That guy is annoying. I would love to see streams from real A320 pilots like 320 sim pilot, V1 simulation, Blackbox711

I don't know if FSLabs is mad about this all situation, but I wrote a post on their forum a few days ago asking if they have any news on the concorde or other plane for MSFS.

I checked a couple of day ago, they responded that they have nothing to say on it, then immediately locked the thread, checked yesterday, they deleted it

Well that’s what you pay for when you pretend MSFS never existed and wanting to stay in the comfort zone

Really excited about this news. Will be going with this over the PMDG at first especially since I already bought the Maddog.

Someone just pointed out on Reddit that you’re the same guy as Cyanide in SovietWombles videos on YouTube, and I must say that was a pleasant surprise.

I always knew your voice sounded familiar in your Fenix YouTube presentation videos, but couldn’t quite figure it out, until now.

Interesting to see you branching out from streaming games with silly humor to leading the development of potentially the most detailed aircraft addon for a flight sim.

Since up until now they've seemingly done everything right, I still have hope they were secretly working on their study level Concorde all the time for MSFS and will release it with a bang.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

That's the other aspect, and I suppose the general goodness for all of us end-users as competition thrives in the MSFS ecosystem... newcomers like Fenix are going to make established dev houses like PMDG and others up their game. In a sense, the 737 is PMDG's first offering mostly based on old development practices/patterns and even then they've gained a lot of in-house knowledge.. Am looking forward to what they'll bring in the future for the upcoming 737 variants and then the 777/747... and what in turn Fenix and others continue to innovate with... and let's not forget all the innovation coming out of freeware contributors like FBW.  Nothing like healthy competition! ... who knows, maybe FSL has a MSFS surprise or two up it's sleeve yet? Also keen to see how inibuilds takes on the MSFS platform with their A310.

No offense to everyone who thinks it's okay to just release a product without any promotional period, but that's straight up pretty d*mb.

I think Fenix will advertise, but is it different with software? Movies are only in cinemas for a short time, and hardware costs money to make and sit on the shelf.

People that buy the plane will stream it, post about, make YouTube videos on it. And the people that didn’t know about will see it, and the software will be there waiting for them. Fenix gets the money a bit later than they might have on release day, but they didn’t have to put any effort in.

iniBuilds has released so many scenery add-ons now for MSFS,  They must love MSFS because their sceneries are making them some good $$$.

If the iniBuilds 310 also sells well in MSFS, I can see iniBuilds shifting their resources from XP to do more MSFS projects. If I were the CEO of iniBuilds and I saw that MSFS products make way more $$$ than XP products, and the time to develop the MSFS product is not excessively longer than developing an XP product, it’s a no brainer to shift resources from XP into MSFS.
