I didn't know that.  That's very good news.  Personally I've kind of lost my love for flying the Airbus.  Still hope one day to get it back.  But for me the Airbus I'm most excited to fly in MSFS in the A310

I'd really love to see a CRT screen version of the A320 someday.  Not expecting a full EIS 1 rewrite but at least having the option of the CRT screens and some analogue gagues.

This is the A320 I know and love and still many in operation today (I believe last one to be manufactured was 2005).  Something about those rounded corners!!

Howdy @everyone, no stream today. I'm sad about this one, as it's important for the channel to be online during these times. But I'm having to juggle things, and am worn out. I'm prepping for an imminent reveal, and I honestly don't have it in me today to stream and then do all the prep work that I need for, well, very soon you'll know. So instead of providing a subpar experience to you all on both fronts, today and the reveal, I'm going to chose one to do properly, and the reveal wins that fight. You should have many good options to entertain you today, considering every streamer out there seems to be showing the 737, so I hope you can find one that suits you. Apologies for the late notice, but I only woke up an hour ago and have realized I don't have enough fuel in the tank. For those that have any questions on the 737, please ask them in the-classroom📚 and me and others will do our best to try and answer you. Hopefully my next announcement will be worth it. A release for that hasn't been announced by MS/Asobo yet - But we expect it to be some what soon as it was mentioned in the last dev update (if you weren't aware):

Been wondering the same, no new updates on its timeline on MSFS forums, but I'm guessing it'd be released <= their next WU Italy/Malta on May 17th.  Also who knows, maybe Fenix have an early build of the hotfix?

Well, as if "soon" has any relevance those days... I wonder if you can stick to the "days not months" schedule, personally I would not expect a patch anytime near the next several (!) weeks...

But tbh the Fenix PFD display as we know them from the screenshots looks more like CRT version. It‘s definitively not looking like newer planes. So I guess it‘s kind of a mixture.

I really hope they fix this for the release of at least some time after…

They're backlit LCD screens. There was a closeup screenshot somewhere. I'll try to find it when I get on my PC.

Edit: here's some deep analysis on the published screenshots by an Airbus pilot, the link takes you straight to the part about the displays but I found the whole video very interesting:

I haven't yet figured out if the Fénix is going to use it's own external flight dynamics model / engine or if it'll rely on MFS ?

Systems I guess will mostly be modeled outside of MFS...

I think relies on MSFS, same goes for Maddog, PMDG, CRJ, FBW .. etc

Ya systems simulation is done via their outside-of-MSFS code that is based on ProSim... The Fenix A320 flight model is based on the core MSFS flight-model/aerodynamics, and I've seen Aamir mention that at least once or twice from a while back. I'm sure he'll step in here to clarify/correct as needed 🙂

Interestingly, while on the Fenix discord today I came across some discussion on the PMDG 737 and MSFS flight model vs X-Plane's in their #off-topic channel where someone posted the iniBuilds lead commenting on the topic recently: https://discord.com/channels/736572376967282769/864647392334315542/973522732467777556 (near bottom speaking re: their upcoming A310:  "Just to be fully clear, our flight model in MSFS is on par to XP, So those still wanting to negate MSFS as a viable sim solution based on those reasons, don't speak too soon")

Really will be interesting to see the true capabilities of MSFS's core flight-model/aerodynamics engine as aircrafts start to properly take advantage of it like the Milviz C310, PMDG 737, Fenix A320, iniBuilds A310, etc.

Just have a look on the white boxes on the FMA for example, they are not correct.
