The default ATC in the game uses MS Azure voices which are very good (link: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/cognitive-services/text-to-speech/#overview). AWS also has voices which are better. My car infotainment system voice is good, and the  Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant are of course very good.  So there's just a few examples of voices that are noticeably better than what's in FSHud.

But FSHud exactly uses one of those systems you've mentioned - there is no something else. Are you talking about specific voice or all voices?

I'm referring to the voice(s) I heard in a review video... at about the 29:00' mark...

Ok, let's differ things to understand:
1. Do you think pilot voice is ok?
2. I may agree with you that ATC voice sounds a bit disturbing and robotic (this is one of AWS Polly US-male voices).
But the main question - is ALL voices robotic or only ATC male voice?

The first voice (ATC) and the female voice sound robotic.

Ok, this is Australian accent female voice.
But as I understand not all voices are robotic - there are some...
Is that correct?

The voice of the co-pilot (if I'm following it correctly) is better.

That makes sense.
Thank you for information and clarification

FSHud no more requires you to fly or taxi over all waypoints - it was already fixed and at some point, those waypoints would be progressed according your location - even if you fly or taxi by absolutely different path.

Ah, good to know, I thought that fix mainly had to do with taxiing. I did know you could also start a flight in mid air and FSHud would proceed from there (also tested that) but I wasn't sure if FSHud would also keep contact if you totally strayed off path. So it does, that's nice.

However... does that also mean ATC won't correct you if you are going off path...? Isn't it the task of ATC to keep you on path, at least in certain situations?

Anyway, as I said, I am quite happy FSHud works with basic 'sort of VFR' flights too! It's just nice having to use the radio every now and then and hear others talk during flights like that.

I couldn't resist the temptation any longer. Tried it out, but quickly returned it. High CPU usage. Awkward voices. Taxi guidance didn't really do me any favors. Stuttering AI (worst part). Back to default ATC. I really hope MS wil start improving it soon. If only the climb and descent instructions already came a little sooner, before starting to level off.

When I tried Pilot 2 ATC a couple of years ago, same issue, it chewed up CPU cycles  like crazy. Got rid of it.

Hi,

I cannot use your program in for flights in New Zealand. I was doing a flight from Auckland and right after I loaded the flight plan the app got stuck with an empty box. I then reloaded the flight and the app with the same result. Interestingly, the same thing happened on a flight starting from Wellington expect it got stuck right after IFR clearance. If you need any more information in order to fix this issue let me know. I hope it gets fixed soon as I love flying in New Zealand.

A couple of things concern me currently with this ATC program. One it cannot read airports bought from the Market Place due to encription, two are other addons also affected? and a biggy for me, it states it controls real time traffic, what happens if you have the Real Traffic & PSXt addon's,  as i would think that would be a no go as well.

For all mentioned above issues - you can open a ticket to support (from the application) that will also contains all detailed information about what was really happened.
In most of the cases we are doing our best to solve issues user have (including release of hotfix if needed).
Thank you

I may have missed it, but is there a trial available for this?

FsHud and PSXT does not go together indeed. PSXT ai trafffic is controlled by real live ATC.
