July 13, 20223 yr I've opted for the DX12 options because IMO, DX12 is the Future, but I should point out that until SU10 I was more than fine with DX11 and TAA. I do notice the sim is even more fluid now though in DX12 + DLSS, and I don't mind losing some crispiness in the glass instruments because my close vision already forces me to zoom them in order to read what's there 🙂 🤓 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Is anyone seeing artifacts with DX12 + DLSS + 3080 Ti ? (what texture setting?) Edited July 13, 20223 yr by Greazer http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
July 13, 20223 yr DLSS seems to be buggy. I see no performance increase when using DLSS performance or ultra performance quality. Blurry displays seems to be affecting 1080p users but it looks okay to me at 4k. Here's a clip I recorded at 4k. I wish they would fix that horrible shadow flickering effect though. It works in general, but may not fix absolutely all of the shadows for some reason. It stopped the flickering / feathering in cockpit for me, and most of the external ones. All you have to do is find your "UserCfg.opt", (make a backup just in case - it is only a small file) and find the following lines, change it to 4096, and save the file. {Shadows MaxSliceCount 4 Size 4096 MaxDist 10000.000000 DLightContributionCullingThresholdS0 0.100000 DLightContributionCullingThresholdS1 0.100000 DLightContributionCullingThresholdS2 0.100000 DLightContributionCullingThresholdS3 0.100000 OmniContributionCullingThreshold 0.000000 } I run 6144 on my 3080Ti at 4k and they are crisp and no loss of framerate. 8192 is possible but pinches a few frames and is possibly overkill anyway. 4096 will definitely be alright on your 20xx series card, as I ran at that on my old 1080Ti. Worth a try anyway, and easy to revert. Note that if you change this setting in sim, you will have to go back into the UserCfg.opt, as the slider doesn't go up that high, which is the reason for having to edit the file in the first place. I had it this morning and it stopped only by reverting this setting to 2048 (Ultra). Thanks! 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
July 13, 20223 yr For me DX12 and HT off. BUT the only issue with this is its creating random white flickers. MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28

I won't have access to my MSFS PC until about 1800z, but I will try it at 2048 and my current setting of 6144. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). July 13, 20223 yr I am on SU10 Beta and my results with DX12 are weird… in some airports I have great performance, stutter free, while in other airports the Sim is unflyable…just a slideshow….I don’ t have the same difference using DX11… actually I don’ t have any performance difference at all among all the addon airports I have…I am using a 2080 Super…latest drivers installed…. I must be missing something…. I am not using DLSS as I don’ t have the option showing in MSFS menu, but that’ s another story… Ezio Edited July 13, 20223 yr by Eziocin AMD Ryzen 7800x3d, Asus ROG Strix RTX4090, Asus x670e-e, G-Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
