August 20, 20223 yr My only issue with the Fenix vs the PMGD is that I had stutters with the Fenix whereas the 737 has always impressed me with it's performance. It's as though the sim doesn't even know it's there. That being said, the 737 does feel very solid, refined, finished, polished, whatever you want to call it. However, I'm on flight #2 with the Fenix using the latest SU10 build in DX11, and so far... Not a single stutter. Got a new feel for the Fenix today. She's flying nice. August 20, 20223 yr Do not forget that at the moment also the PMDG has important issues with the autopilot: mainly VNAV and altitude hold/capture.
August 20, 20223 yr @pan pan pan Welcome to the other side of the Airbus! After 35 years of flying small airplanes I boarded the FENIX Airbus and joined the party. I learned to fly the A320 by watching the videos by 320 Sim Pilot. Highly recommended! August 20, 20223 yr Well I had my 1st disappointment with the Fenix yesterday. Departing Corfu runway 34 on PARA1G departure, the route on the ND was not at all matching the departure path although Airbus philosophy for ND route is « what you see is what you fly ». In fact the aircraft even turn wrong side. I will open a ticket but I am not sure if it is due to Fenix or faulty navigraph data. It reminds me of this video. If Fenix can not do Corfu, this one will be tricky. Anyone tried it ? I will try this departure during my ongoing round trip in the Greek islands : Pierre

August 20, 20223 yr It's not an update, it is a fix for me. I appreciate that the plane does 90% right, but I want more. It is a joy to have this plane, however. Other Airbusses I know were much worse at the start (maybe with the exception of the FSL). Even the wonderful Tolis took ages to get an Airbus right. The FF is still not finished. My most obvious complaint is the wrong drag and performance. It should not be difficult to get the glide ratio at green dot right, shouldn't it? On the other end of urgency, I'd like to have a button for the intuitive A/T disconnect. But the OP asked (more or less) if we can trust their development. I do. However, I said the same in the case of the FF. So, fingers crossed. Paul Schmidt We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms.

Nobody likes subscriptions. But I would subscribe to a working Airbus that fixes things in short time (say for 35€ half-yearly). And I could unsubscribe if it did not work as expected. August 20, 20223 yr Maybe they're doing this weird thing where they put their heads down and get to work and don't feel the need to post Da vinci code like cryptic updates every couple of weeks? This approach also clearly works as they have given us a great product XP11 & MSFS2020 AMD 5900X EVGA RTX 3080Ti FTW3 64GB GSKILL Trident Z 3600mhz

August 21, 20223 yr The biggest problem with the fenix is it’s precluded from working with external cockpit hardware. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

August 21, 20223 yr I find it funny how many of you are creating excuses and are showing extreme partiality to the developers of GSX, but the same people are crying foul for even the slightest errors in the Fenix a320. The developer of GSX willingly released a broken product, that’s fundamentally flawed and is causing CTD’s, and has also already taken your money. But you folks are willing to let it slide because of the reputation of the developers. Maybe I’m whining, or maybe I simply am not willing to accept substandard paid products anymore. Aamir and the devs at Fenix released arguably one of the best addons in flight sim history as their very first product, and their next updates indicate a complete overhaul of areas which have bugs, instead of band-aid updates. The way Aamir communicates with the community indicates passion, commitment to product success, very good project management skills, and a serious eye for detail. I have more faith in the Fenix team than any other. Maybe they make announcements less often than we’d like, but if that time is spent on development, I’m completely fine with that trade.
