Am i the only one having a CTD 10-20 minutes after takeoff? This has happened to me twice.

First flight with GSX installed and a few minutes after takeoff CTD. Around 10 minutes might be right. Event viewer shows a crash with Couatl64_MSFS.exe as the cause. Interestingly with a timestamp not matching the actual crash of the sim.

cheers,
NiIs U.

I also experienced a ctd using gsx in combination with the pmdg 737 after being airborn for about 20min. Msfs was very stable before.

O dear. Reading all this posts about so many issues after this release is a bit odd. Unfortunately they managed a not so nice release.

I was lucky not having time to try and install, all though this is a must have addon for me.

Unfortunately GSX always had a lot to install in the most different locations (directories) of a PC. Something that bothered me a lot in p3d times. And this couatl thing wasn't not always that stable (most of the time yes...but it had also it's issues).

Uninstalling had a lot leftovers and cleaning those out was always a bit tricky.

Exactly this will keep me away from GSX in MSFS for some time at least, and after reading the issues here, I really won't even think about installing it the next week's or so and wait till this has stabilized and most issues have bin ironed out.

I like GSX a lot, but it's not worth for me risking a stable installation of Windows 11 a couple of weeks ago as well my MSFS sim running greatly without a single CTD since fresh windows and sim install.

Also products from FS2Crew and FSDG (SHARM El SHEIKH) are creating folders all over the place (Programm files (86) appuser local, Programm data, community etc etc. )

And especially about a simple airport from FSDG I'm asking myself, WHY? Isn't it enough to create a community folder for that addon?

I will not buy such add-ons anymore because that is something what bothered me at P3D. This complexity and endless install, de ugging fixing etc. MSFS has a huge benefit.....single community folder ....in or out.....on or off ..as simple as that.

Hoping you simmers will find solutions quickly so you are up and running quickly again...and stable hopefully.

@umberto I wish you honestly the best with sorting out, you have deserved a more stable release for sure!

I agree completely.  When I seen the announcements yesterday that GSX Pro was released I ran to get my debit card then decided to look over some of the Facebook, FSDT and Avsim forums just to see peoples opinions.

I must say I was somewhat shocked to see it released so quickly given Youtube creator, and real life 737 pilot, "737NG Driver" recent preview video showed some issues, which many on here have been complaining about last night, mainly menu's not opening or passengers not visually boarding.  I used GSX in Prepar3D but was never a fan of using custom files.  Like you say the installing and managing sceneries had become a monumental nightmare and at my age and with a full time career I just couldnt be bothered with messing around with files, folders and configurations, I just wanted to fly.  Bad enough installing all the airports without having to manually download and copy custom files into various user folders. I love the simplicity of MSFS installs but given many developers are updating their sceneries regularly will this mean a constant monitoring of custom GSX configs or tweaking all gates at all airports. Worried to see Couatl problems again and CTD.  Life is too short so for now I am sitting on the fence with regards to purchasing but will keep a watchful eye on forums as it was a great tool.

Another issue I have, and did so with P3D version was this reliance on CloudFlare nodes.  The fact that files are slowly updated per node / location must create a major support problem where many customers have installations mixed with files from iteration 1 and iteration 2.  What happens when update 3 comes out will people have a mish mash of files from 1, 2 and 3, new and old on their system?  I have never heard of this way of distributing installers until GSX.

I decided to totally uninstall GSX for now.  Too much going on with installs/CTDs.  I'm confident it will get sorted out eventually.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Yea, I have to say I am disappointed. The download and install process was the most difficult I have ever had in MSFS and the user experience so far has been poor, beyond just figuring out what airports work and which ones don't and how to exclude, etc.  I used GSX in P3D for years and it basically worked but here in MSFS there are many anomalies -- some gates work, some don't, poor gate positioning, jet ways connecting over the wing to the rear door on the 737-7, and i have had several crashes of the sim, more than I have had in the 2 years since in installed it. I agree with those who have said it just does not seem ready or, perhaps more concerning, the design philosophy behind it is not compatible with that of MSFS. I am beginning the uninstall process - which looks like it will not be so easy given how many folders are created.

You know, in P3D I had to do a lot of configuring of many things, but MSFS and its addon's generally just work. I have had to fiddle around and configure very little which has left me time to plan routes and fly. It seems a great deal needs to be manually configured in GFX and I just don't find it enjoyable. I prefer just calling on the ground vehicles provided by PMDG. I hope GSX gets sorted and made a little more functional and user friendly. I will continue to monitor feedback and try again in a month or two.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

I have not purchased GSX and wont be after seeing this. Seems like a money grabbing effort from FSDreamTeam. Very poor.

Anything that creates a folder outside my community folder and comes with clunky and unnecessary baggage is getting uninstalled right away from my PC. I had had enough of that in p3d. I will not ask for money back but I surely won't be installing this in future. Won't jeopardize my rock solid windows and msfs installation. Not to mention the addon itself is in pre alpha state and I have no clue why this was released to public.

My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive

the install is that bad it make aig look like a walk in the park

Yet another reason not to get a brand new add on, the day it is released.

For those that are curious, there is a demo mode available for GSX where it works with the following 3 airports: San Francisco, Munich, and Milano Linate. To use it you download the installer, tell it to activate and here I simply typed in "demo" and the installer started downloading GSX.

I've spent a couple of hours playing with it but have un-installed now for the same reasons as others have posted. Hopefully I've cleared the thing out properly. It puts files in a number of locations and the un-installer doesn't clean up after itself.

Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

Thank god i didn't bought it, looks like a total disaster this release !!

cheers 😉

I am back to where I was a week or so ago: GSX is not for me. Not only because of the current problems but after watching a lot of video's I discovered a few things that only would annoy me so... I will pass. Not going to spend that much money on something that didn't interest me to begin with but that will also annoy me. I do hope though that everyone who did buy it will be able to enjoy their purchase soon! ;)
