What is the current state of the installer?  Does it load the correct files without having to uninstall all the FSDT Airports I have?  Is there news about an update/SP1?

TIA!

In my experience, the downloader seems to be pushing the correct files now. I don't have any insight into your issue about having to uninstall your FSDT airports, but I did install FSDT's ORD yesterday and it seemed to be working fine in combination with GSX.

GSX has been getting small daily updates that can be viewed here: http://fsdreamteam.com/couatl_liveupdate_notes.html

That's why I added Live Update to my startup programs. I've said it before. Umberto keeps adding, changing, and improving things all the time. If you don't update at least every other day, you are behind the curve.

Hi, I am using the demo version, how would I update this? or does it do it automatically on launch - I don't see anything indicating such.

If you don't have an FSDT Live update option on your desktop, go into the folder where you installed the FSDT Addon Manager and run Couatl_Updater.exe  .

It seems that for me after the Live Updates finishes and I want to fly right after, the Couatl engine does not start. Is there a trick to this, or do I have to reboot my box each time after the update?

I am executing the application from the Addon Manager folder, but it still doesn't start and after I do, the message in the sim still says the scripting engine hasn't started yet. This thing is a hit or miss, I wasn't able to use GSX for the last two days.

It probably only works when you open it as  administrator.

couatl64_MSFS.exe should be the correct application. Do you see the tray icon after starting it?

It has never started itself for me since purchase,  I just manually start when launching MSFS.

I have only had the problem one single time when the Fenix app didn't start once. I wonder exactly what causes it? Must be an option, or combination of options that causes MSFS not to run them.

Yep, I figured it out today. Just restarted it from the system tray and I’m all set.

It's a known issue in the sim, Asobo is aware of it, but it doesn't seem to have found the cause yet:

That's an issue we're already tracking.
It's related to MS Store checking the app (MSFS) has a correct licence but also checking for child apps and failing in this cas.

We will come back to you when we know more about this

For me, it happens 100% of the time: NONE of the applications in the EXE.XML starts ( Fenix, Honeycomb drivers, GSX ), I suspect it's because I have a complete install of the MS Store version with SU 10 Beta using a license, and separate Steam version at SU9 using another license. This seems to confuse the startup, because I can't even start the Simconnect debug window, saying I'm "lacking a license" to run it.
