It just also happens to be very good 😄 AIG is way too complicated (for me). 😉 I watched a tutorial and decided to not even give it a try. Hence my interest in FSLTL... so if someone might answer my questions about it I'd be much obliged. 😉 EDIT I also read that FS Traffic might be coming... how does that one fit in with all available traffic solutions...? EDIT 2 And while I am at it... what's the best and most up to date tutorial that shows how to use AIG as simple as can be? I did see a tutorial that also uses Real Traffic or something like that but I'd like to see how AIG works on its own. Yes, I know I said I decided to not even give it a try but every video I see says AIG is the best so, yeah, well... 😉 EDIT 3 Hm... Edited August 22, 20223 yr by tup61

The simple one off's irl and pilots are often all over it, "who's that?", "what are they doing here?" It just reinforces the old adage, ignorance is bliss. Just because you don't care what you see for traffic at airports, doesn't mean that its good because it's just there. No it comes down to solving the most glaring issue w/ the default non-liveries--the ones even a half blind person will notice, and with no hassle whatsoever at very little cost. In MSFS are you going to get on the radio and report that an airline that doesn't normally appear at a specific airport with your "situational awareness" 🤣 Goofiest justification for AIG I've heard yet. Unless you're a student of international airline routes and hubs you're very likely only going to have a clue, if that, which airlines fly out of wherever. ST solves all of this with zero maintenance. Here was from a few moments ago for this morning fly out of KIAD, a major UAL hub. Notice SAS getting ready to takeoff--they fly in and out Dulles as well. This is the norm for Simple Traffic which continues to improve steadily with more liveries, and liveries appropriate for the airport they're in. August 22, 20223 yr AIG is time consuming initially but the results are far better, imo. If you just want something to take up space on the ramp without regard to appearance, Simple Traffic should suit you. I've used it but even if you're not into plane spotting, the ultra-simplistic and cartoonish look of the default jets in real liveries will wear thin. AIG is as accurate as you're going to get for the time being and the immersion factor is undeniable. And, AIG is free. Yeah, it's pretty clumsy at first and will occasionally stumble, it's a must have for me. Did I mention free? August 22, 20223 yr I went into AIG dreading it due to all the posts online about it's complexity, but it was a breeze in all honesty this is the tutorial I followed;
August 22, 20223 yr I honestly don't understand what is it that people find complex or complicated about it. It's as simple as filling a couple of boxes. The "tedious" bit is going through the list of available airlines and selecting which ones to install and which to leave out. I suppose that this is the stage that scares some people off but calling it complicated is a gross exaggeration.

I was on the fence for months about AIG, reading on the forum and being apprehensive as I thought it would be too complicated. It really isn’t. There are some very good YouTube tutorials out there, but really there’s just a few steps that need to be taken to get it working. Of course if you want all the liveries it’s going to take a while to download, but it can be left to do it’s job in the background / overnight. And if something is unclear I’m sure there’s a lot of AIG enthusiasts here that are willing to help. To put it this way: I think that the AIG models and liveries are so good, and increases realism so much, that even if another payware option (JustFlight?) came around, I’m not sure I’d be interesting in switching from AIG. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

There is no such AIG LOT flight plan to CYCD, so it must be the internal MSFS ai "logic" which is placing it there. How are you injecting AI? Make sure you have the 'Ground Aircraft Density' slider set to zero in the AI settings or you will get random static aircraft. If you're using Live Traffic than it may have been a airline AIG doesn't have liveries for, so MSFS just grabs a random livery for that aircraft. For example, AIG doesn't have liveries for Air Canada 737 Max series yet, so you'll see some other livery they do have for the 737 Max. Edited August 22, 20223 yr by Tuskin38

Should have started using this sooner! Thanks for the link and all the positive posts about AIG from everyone! EDIT Have installed 4 airlines so far and only once I had to manually download a zip. Right now I am doing a bulk install of 11 airlines and all goes automatic so far. Man... what was everyone moaning about? This is easy! I do fly from a lot of different airports though so I suppose I still have a ton of airlines to download... but it won't have to be done in one day. 😉 I will btw first see how well FSHud manages these AIG liveries: maybe I don't need too much airlines after all. August 22, 20223 yr Hi all! I read all this thread and now I think if I spent this time learning how to install AIG I would have it installed by now... Could someone be kind enough to tell me how many FPS does AIG costs? And how big is AIG with all the liveries on the drive? Thank you !

I wonder how would that violate anything? Is that an issue with the models or liveries? I’d have a hard time believing they’ve negotiated rights to every airline livery with the respective airlines anyway.
