Dude. That is exactly how Pennsylvania looks from November to April. Realistic depending where you are.

I know I look at those non-forest weirdly spaced trees and it just brings back past memories of P3D and how fake they look.   If LR wants to get some ginormous bang for buck it would be in converting those into forested areas.  Maybe they are doing this if so it could help autogen immensely I feel.  I really like the lighting improvements and it is that type of collective "eye-candy" that catches new users bigtime, of course, this is what the other sim has done and is the reason for their rapid success.

They have announced they will be improving ground scenery.

If you have happen to have SFD Global from mrX , it works. I installed it, but not his Forests. This will give you regional houses, the south of France, the Provence for example, is nicely represented.

And I understood he is working on an update for XP12.

More things for the "good" list:

• The new soundscape. AI flybys, ground vehicles, birds, etc.If you can, load some AI aircraft and position the camera near a runway.
• The new ground services. Request services and watch the vehicles do their thing.

oh lord, orthos with X-world europe... i think i've gone to heaven!!! 😄 😍  so happy with this sim now

Interesting.....

Seeing some of the more glowing posts here, I wondered what the XP12 sales numbers were looking like.

A quick trip to the Steam Community showed a pretty much dead subject, with only 5 reviews available. (of course, it is new)

Anybody in the know, able to see/tell if that's an outlier indication?

for the last 5 years xp11 averaged 0.2 reviews an hour.

So 5 in an hour for an early access is somewhat above average, even if the long ugly rambling one was paid for by Microsoft.

It'll be six months at least before we start to get reliable steam data in for XP12.

LR is actually (finally) looking to hire some marketting peeps, might be of interest to the soon to be redundant trolls currently working for evil corp. - about the only "ugly" so far, everything else seems to be good, very good and absolutely breathtaking.
