I find the performance on my box perfectly acceptable but obviously it's not exactly fast. The impact the number of world objects slider seems improved a lot as well, btw. I have all the right hand sliders on the right. Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉

Just my opinion though. No its not. Building a FMS is. a lotnof work. Are you willing to wait 2 years for xp12 just because the airbus fms isnt ready. Far too many word not allowed people here. They said it will be added later.
September 6, 20223 yr I really like the water waves, night lighting, seasons, trees, snow and ice on the runways. Snow is better in XP than the other sim I don't like the shimmering and blurry textures outside The cockpit textures are blurry and as you get closer the blurries go away The cockpit lighting seems to go bright and then dark all of a sudden What I dislike the most is the the clouds. They are way too light and blurry George Lee Asus Maximus Hero IX Motherboard, Intel i7 6700K CPU, Geforce GTX 1080, Corsair 16Gb memory, Corsair case, Corsair PSU
September 6, 20223 yr This is the site for XP11 English manual. Is there an English PDF manual? This would be a deal braker for me. I never purchased XP11 ever, didn't like the demo years ago. https://x-plane.com/manuals/desktop/11/index.html 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Sure they can polish this early access release right up, fix the clouds, make the new effects look and perform better; but you run in to the same stumbling block, the ground textures. There just awful, as is the autogen. Sure, we can use ortho to clean that up, but for example I have true earth GB and it takes up 320GB of space. That’s JUST for the U.K! So, this is going to be an interesting journey.

September 6, 20223 yr I’m disappointed, I was hoping this iteration of x-plane was the one I would get my x-plane start in alongside msfs, unfortunately reading these comments and watching a few videos has made me decide to stay away yet again. I hope those who dove in are enjoying it though as I’m not an “us versus them” type person. Cheers folks! I think I belong to this group unfortunately. ;-( I have been faithful to XP for a long time and have been very optimistic about the XP12 (and, despite the fact that it is early beta), I am disappointed overall. Of course, new water, trees, seasons and clouds is a cool thing ... but I feel discouraged (after the last few years) after refine my XP11 (which I think now looks great => much "nicer" than bare XP12), to start it all over: correct the ortho to make it work with the new water; improve lighting and clouds to make them look as good as with xVision (even though clouds are not 3D), get new versions of planes and scenery (sometimes for sure for $), ... etc. Sure, I would like to enjoy all the benefits of the new XP12 once it comes out of its beta phase (e.g. rain effect on windows), but I don't think the bare XP12 will look as good as my XP11 now does. What I see in XP12 should be in XP11. It's a shame the XP11 is history, but I'm currently lacking the enthusiasm I had when switching from the XP10 to the XP11. 😉 I was 101% sure that I would buy the XP12 on the first day, but I think I'll wait a few months for things to develop. I will see when flying in VR in XP12 becomes the pleasure I currently have in my tuned version of the XP11. 😉
September 6, 20223 yr I made a couple of flights with LR and a VSKYLABS aircraft. The visuals of the LR aircraft were excellent. The water was beautiful and had an interesting transparency. Water landing and subsequent field landing were logged - nice. The only discrepancy that I noted was the water rudder controls were reversed. I am looking forward to the development of the scenery and the future of XP12. Jim Morgan
September 6, 20223 yr I've never run any paid version of XP before. May I ask if 'ortho' scenery is free to download? I have a spare NVMe 1 TB SSD sitting around doing nothing. I could plug it in to USB using a $10 adapter. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. We will have to see as the beta progresses. I was just watching Skymatix stream on the Zibo settings and he said to check periodically as there were some update to sim already. Those update are done by manually checking and re downloading the beta. I can't confirm since my new system is not up a running at the moment. Edited September 6, 20223 yr by BobFS88
