Fenix Update is out, too

Featured Replies

Hotfix available;

A320 v1.0.3.128

Hotfix AVAILABLE NOW. A sidenote, flaring should be more comfortable than the pre-hotfix version, as the reprofiled drag helps the aircraft with it's energy state in the flare. Feedback welcomed.

[SYSTEM]

- Revised logic for ground spoiler retraction, ground spoilers now retract when thrust levers are at or above 20 degrees, facilitating safer post-bounce go-arounds.

- Tuned Autoland

- Fixed engine idle EWD and associated signals for APPR IDLE segments

- Improved save reliability (this seems to still be dodgy, we're working on it)

- Added PLD support, phased lift dumping, to support partial spoiler extension in certain landing scenarios

- Refined APPR IDLE dynamic N1 calculation with additional variables

[FM]

- Added drag to Flap 2 and 3

- Fixed landing gear drag

[ART&SOUND]

- Removed blue highlights when mousing over items by default

- Fixed random errant turbulence sounds

- Fixed high pitched click every 4.5 seconds when AEVC is on

Hotfix:

[DAVE]
○    Microwave rights cautiously reinstated for fixing a big bug
○    Permanently equipped with AirTag so management can keep track of his location

😆

Looking forward to testing these flight model changes.
I'm a big fan of the Fenix team's responsiveness to feedback and their sense of humour - droll, without trying to hard or being cringey (YMMV).

I tested it a couple of hours ago while it was still beta. It is fantastic now. Makes landings a breeze.

As you are about to touch down, can you keep the nose aligned with the runway centerline with the rudder pedals?

yeah it just wont steer straight down the runway , its as if one of the brakes has locked up or something , weird

Make sure you don't have any other inputs to the rudder.

I find that really hard to believe.

There is nothing hard to believe about it. Airlines have different SOPs, what airline A does isn't always the same that airline B does. Delta may leave autothrust on while another airline uses the aforementioned procedure while some other airlines leave it to the pilots to decide on a case by case basis. There can be radical differences between airlines and manufacturer SOPs.

Intersections are not at every airport as intersection data cannot be automatically acquired/extrapolated, so it is manually input in a database, these are updated from time to time - but if there's an airport you really want, send a ticket in and we'll have it bumped.

Aamir;

Thanks to you and your group for being upfront and speaking to customers like regular people (not talking down to us). I can wait. I'd rather you and your team work on what's really important to the community instead of my trivial want.

Thanks again to you and the team at Fenix!
