Beta build 1.29.5.0 is now available for testers!

Featured Replies

I posted in another thread about CTD's, but...

All Carenado aircraft are working fine now in the latest beta update (1.29.5.0).
I dragged the offending aircraft (PC-12, Waco, C170b etc.) back into the official folder and the sim got past the half way loading stage.  My first flight in the PC-12 for some time!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I just made a test flight and Fenix A320 in DX12 had no problems with displays.

I did 2 flights in the Fenix yesterday running DX12 and had no issues.

C drive just died today so I'm installing win 10 on its replacement at the moment. Gonna be a while before I can try this latest update.

c'mon asobo...an rtx 4090 is not cheap to have to put up with you breaking things at every update.

c'mon Miguel, you can surely understand that A) this is a beta program. Complaining isn't the point. It's a complete waste of time. B) The 4090 is brand new card. It will take some time to optimize platforms to this new technology. Do you really think that new hardware just seamlessly works with new and updating software? Whining like a baby and saying you have every right to complain because you bought an expensive new toy that doesn't play right at the moment looks really, really silly.

Is the performance better in this release? I just tried it briefly buzzing around LA.

I noticed a significant performance boost going from SU10 to 11 in DX12. Looks like they’ve managed to optimize it further.

One good thing about the latest beta 1.29.5.0, I don't have to remove or disinstall anything from Official, and MSFS will still boot up and not CTD (I used to have to remove the Carenado C-195, but not anymore after this beta update).

My SU10/DX12 is ultra smooth. Not sure how it could be any smoother TBH.

I wish they'd fix the popcorn effect with photogrammetry flying over London City at ultra and some other cities is painful with the buildings morphing in. It seems region specific where this happens. SU11 beta is stable for me but some nagging scenery issues don't seem to be a concern

Yeah I think people don’t understand the concept of a beta build, it definitely doesn’t mean just enjoy extra features and fixes earlier than everyone else. Jeeez.

Exactly. You don't word not allowed to break? Stick with the stable version.

But it takes so long to report issues, it's like building a house with bricks, too much work.
