January 23, 20233 yr Thanks for this. I am on Discord but try (fail) and keep the servers I belong to a minimum.
January 23, 20233 yr How can I find which runway FSLTL is using, or will use, before I create a SimBrief flight plan?

January 23, 20233 yr Thanks but what is FL24? Is that a real world database that sim uses? And does that tell you the runway FSLTL will use? What about the landing runway as well? Ie how does FSTLT decide on the runway in use? Edited January 23, 20233 yr by jarmstro
January 23, 20233 yr Thanks for the heads up. I'm however having difficulties downloading the Base Models update. Already tried 3 or 4 times and it keeps on getting stuck, and each time at a different model 😕 Anyone else? Cheers, 2Low2Slow

January 23, 20233 yr @Zangoose @jarmstro @adino FSLTL uses MSFS default traffic systems just like AIG, so the runway will not be taken from real life but MSFS will decide it based on the winds. So you cannot know this before starting the flight. You are probably mixing it up with real-time live traffic like that PSXT stuff, which does not use MSFS traffic at all but just projects "images" of the aircraft from real-time live data (a bit like VATSIM, with the real life traffic as the other "players"; though they of course do not see you since... well they are in a real plane). EDIT: To elaborate: PSXT real-time: Delta 521 is at the following coordinates with the following speed, so we'll project it right there in MSFS and update every second... FSLTL: There's a live Delta 521 flight between KORD and KIAD about to depart in 20 minutes [from the actual real time and date, regardless of simulator time] , so we'll create an appropriate AI traffic (with a random/not-real gate, position, taxi time etc.) AIG: There's a flightplan with a Delta 521 flight between KORD and KIAD about to depart in 20 minutes [from the set simulator time/date] , so we'll create an appropriate AI traffic (with a random/not-real gate, position, taxi time etc.) Edited January 23, 20233 yr by Fiorentoni For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I just totally deleted both base and injector folders from previous versions and started over. Eventually downloaded the updated builds without getting stuck. One can always tell which runways MSFS ATC will use for both departure and arrival before starting a flight, and I input those into SimBrief every time: Enter your departure airport and a runway will populate. Re-select the same departure airport and now whatever runway will be used will display. Same same for arrival airport--the key is to select it twice. Sometimes it will stay the same as the initially displayed runway, but as required the runway will change as needed. There may be a situation where the METAR updates after you've done this and changes the runway but out of 100's of times I've done this it's literally only been a couple that then don't match what ATC will direct you to.
