Yes, it should help the new B787-8 mod also, which a lot of people say is good.
I haven't tried it yet due to some concerns with the Heavy Division mod and its incompatibilities with other aircraft, but any improvements on Asobo's -10 could be carried over to the -8, as it uses the -10 as a base with the HD mod on top.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the ATR will be a partnered sim release, much like the A310.  Gotta tip the cap to Microsoft for offering up the free goodies to us simmers (even if my biggest personal wish is for realistic looking runways in winter, lol).

I thought it would be like the Junkers JU-52 release, which was also a partnered developed plane, but the JU-52 was not free.

In any case, if the ATR is free, I'm not complaining 🤣.  I like free stuff 🤣

I too hope the 787 gets a makeover. I can live with its lack of systems and even its over performing flight model, but the inaccurate fonts and general unrealistic appearance  of the avionics really spoils it for me.

I can’t complain it’s a default aircraft, but with a little makeover it could be so much more.

Should have been the priority aircraft in my opinion.  But happy if it's being done anyway.  Has this been confirmed?

That would be a nice and useful addition (for me) to the next AAUs-wished MS/Asobo would have done this for the CJ4 and Longitude.

Yes, of course, we need to insist they include this feature on all the default aircraft now that they're improving them with the AAUs.

Wild guess here, but it’s possible they will announce another partnership with a developer to bring the 787 up to “high fidelity” standards, similar to Inibuilds A310.  On a related note, Qualitywings has been rather silent lately…..hmmmmmm.

No, but they said they wanted to upgrade the premium stuff where they can (not exclusively of course), and there is only so much.

I'm afraid you are mistaken.   ATR is a payware MS/Partner release.   There was a thread on the official forum that stated so, and lot's of discussion on pricing.   Someone who appeared to be either MS or Asobo stated that price would not be confirmed until the aircraft was completed and the feature list confirmed but that it would not be higher than $39.99.

Thanks for the correction Bill and Flightsky - wishful thinking on my part for another freebie, I guess.  Regardless, the AAU updates from Microsoft and WT are fantastic. (just hope they can balance providing new content and fixing core sim issues.)

I doubt the Longitude will get the door as that part of the aircraft isn't modelled.

The CJ4 would be fine though as the entire interior is modelled.

Well, since QW seems to be gone, I'm looking forward to a "study level" 787 from Microsoft/Asobo.
