CJ4 after AAU

Featured Replies

I am pretty sure the comprehensive CJ4 manual downloadable on the WorkingTitle website is quite current.  It's a good start at least.

Are there any good tutorials for the new CJ4 ?

And where do I find the manual for the CJ4 ?

There isn’t an up to date one as far as I’m aware, just one for the old working title mod.
This is one of the letdowns with MSFS, the lack of manuals. Great new plane, simulated to a high degree. However if you’re new to it, how do you begin?!

These 2 are new since the AAU1 update I found them to be quite useful.

The Operators Guide updated for AAU1 is available on the MSFS website (Media -> Aircraft Manuals).

Thanks a lot for the helpful link. I was also looking for a manual or video for the new CJ4.

The difficulty is also that many of the aircraft (and their systems) are constantly evolving as the developer improves things and new sim updates create new challenges.  So any aircraft manual may be true for the real aircraft but not the in game one and the in game one is often in a constant state of change anyway.

So the old WT mod is now not compatable but am I right in saying this new updated Cj4 can not import a simbrief flight plan?

Correct.. no charts either, until Navigraph mod the functionality back in when documentation becomes available.

There are some limitations with the new version because of licensing agreements with Microsoft and other companies.

The new AAU1 avionics do not YET support SimBrief or Navigraph charts.  Navigraph is apparently working on charts integration.

What's interesting is the G5000 and default ATC actually uses Navigraph data. I found this out after updating my Navigraph data when departures and arrivals weren't working at some airports.  After the update the G5000 had the proper decent altitudes for approaches and ATC actually gave be decent clearances coordinating with these approaches.🧐  So some integration is there.  Not sure why the charts can't have the same access to these updated aircraft.

It takes it's NAVDATA from the sim, the charts aren't in the sim ...

I learned to fly the CJ4 yesterday for the first time.

In the old WT CJ Mod manual is written, that i can check the ILS data on a "Arrival Data" page. When i go to the "Index" Page, then page 2, the Arrival Data page is greyed out.

Is there any other way to crosscheck if the FMS has the correct ILS frequency and course?
