It won't be this week, sorry.

So since it won't release today...any chance of telling us the date then instead?

I don't have that date to give you but we're working on it.  As soon as we have it and we're confident that will happen then I'll make sure it's announced. Rest assured there isn't going to be too many more sleeps before you can get it though.

Have you ever UVW unwrapped a sphere in 3dsmax? Let alone program a whole airplane. I feel like devs sometimes don’t get the credit and respect they deserve 🤣

I believe quite a few people are tired of watching previews and live streamers who where fortunate enough to get a free preview copy that seems to have started previewing at least a week ago and wan't the product in their hands That's all. You know flight simmers are not the most patient bunch.

I agree, but I mean cmon, it’s not going to negatively impact anyone’s life if some streamers get it a week earlier than us. I wonder what the tone would be if they released it early and it wasn’t polished.

After watching a couple of videos, the engine simulation seems to be...well, lacking, to put it mildly. ITT at startup is all over the place, RPM sit in the yellow arc after engaging high idle (which they shouldn't), torque during climb seems to be off. Would be nice to see some improvement on that front until release (or after).

To be fair, I gather MSFS really doesn't play well with turboprops and Blacksquare acknowledge as much in the manual, but still, I'd be lying if I weren't a little disappointed.

Sometimes the devs publish their videos before the final release just to verify if the customers can see how bad and superficially can be made a "studio level" airplane. This is the problem with MSFS20, there are no more hardcore users like there were in P3D or in FSX, and someone publish junk airplane. Let's see what happens this time.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Exactly. Could not have said it better myself.

I think people have just gotten used to the fact that once the final preview videos and especially the livestreams drop that release is actually imminent (within ~3 days or so). The Comanche for example was released the day after A2A published their first video of the tutorial series. It's just growing impatience for a very anticipated product, no hard feelings.

It's fairly simple. If you'e not keen on watching the previews then don't watch them.  Based on all the requests and positive comments we've seen posted about the coverage and the product it's pretty clear cut that it's worth having the tutorial videos out there ahead of release and also to allow some streamers the chance to experience the a/c and for them to pass their footage and feedback to the community.

Granted, some of you don't need or don't want that, but many others do, and they enjoy it.  It helps us to see how the product is going to be received so it's a win-win.  Honestly, if you find it boring and it's not for you then just don't tune in.  The product itself is close to being ready for release, not quite there yet but very close.  As soon as it's ready, it'll be released.  Shouldn't be too long now.

Are you joking?  There are still many.  There are just a whole ton more new users.  I remember when I was was new to the franchise.  I barely knew what I was doing in FS4.0.  It wasn't till FS98 that I really started to understand VOR navigation etc.

Just the DEFAULT avioncs we have now are vastly superior to what we had in previous MSFS titles.

We also didn't have high end/high fidelity addons till later in FSX's life.

We are starting to see those high end addons now.  The TBM will be one of them.
