Black Square Teases Steam Gauge TBM!

Featured Replies

I'm super excited for this.  Have been loving the BKQS Caravan and King AIr but the TBM is my absolute fave so this will be a day one purchase for sure.  I'll have to actually follow the checklist to start it up.  Hehehe...

The price for this one has been posted.  $42.99.  Looking forward to it.  Always found the airspeed indicator a little bizarre, but it is a great performing aircraft.

I don't get why people don't like older avionics.  The newer Garmin inset panels make every plane look the same inside.  The older gauges give it character and actually make it easier to fly in a sim when you can just scan an instrument.  Having all your performance numbers, engine parameters, menus, flight plan/map, and other stuff crammed into a rather tiny screen is not that ideal in this simulator.  I realize in real life it's probably a welcome change, but I find something like the G1000 or similar awful to interact with when I need a menu item.

Agreed, I love the older avionics. Makes the aircraft feel and look like an aircraft.

Looks great, I wonder if Steveo will fly it - to remind him of the IRL plane he once flew.

Yeah, the TBM in his videos is being sold and Steve will be getting a new job.
