March 4, 20233 yr Please answer if you have anything constructive to add. I am sure there are a few people that may find the answers interesting, as well as me. Humorous answers will also be accepted alongside the serious ones, as we seem to be suffering from a bit of a jovial recession at the moment, and I am sure we could all do with a bit of a laugh!.. 1. I am about to try multiplayer for the very first time (believe it or not!) - but what happens if you are flying along next to someone and then press pause or go out to the settings menu? Does your plane appear to pause in mid-air, or does it disappear from their view? 2. Are there any AMG graphics card users out there who have suffered the "Warning: Your graphics device has encountered a problem..." issue, or is it just limited to Nvidia. 3. Does anyone else think there is a distinct lack of suspension feel when taking off and landing? The aircraft just seem to plonk down with no spring back. They can stiffly bounce back up for sure, but no up and down movement on the suspension, or very little it is had to detect. If so, can you name an aircraft with good suspension feel so I can try it? 4. Is there anyone else like me now using the search function on the aircraft selection screen when selecting an aircraft? This is because I have so many aircraft, and they are not always named logically by the author, that I find myself scrolling up and down looking for ages looking for the one I want. Does anyone know of a better way? I heard there was a third party selection screen replacement due out, with other useful functions and features, but I have lost track of it. March 4, 20233 yr On 4: That's probably Aircraft Manager Pro https://sonicviz.com/project/aircraft-manager/ https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/aircraft-manager-pro-location-manager-pro-now-available/575628/55 I have it. It allows search and ordering according to range, max altitude, type, and much more. A recent addition allows assigning control profiles to specific planes, a function I find very helpful (which should have been implemented by Asobo long ago). It's still in development and has a few rough ends but I don't want to miss it. There is a free version with a limited feature set which you can try frist. March 4, 20233 yr They look like pretty neat programs (thanks for the heads up @pmb) but a bit pricey for something that should be default in the game, I'll keep an eye on them though and if any spare cash emerges from beneath the sofa I may buy them. Re 1.. yes if you press Pause, you will show as paused in mid-air. If you press ESC, you will disappear. Re 4.. yes I use the search function all the time.. If I want to load up the C310, I enter "310" 😉 Edited March 4, 20233 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

Actually,I know two of these: SPAD.neXt can do this (besides a host of other funtions), and Axis and Ohs (which I don't have) should be able to do it as well. However, both have their own controls settings and calibration systems while Aircraft Manager Pro runs within the sim and uses the simulator settings and calibration pages (which you may or may not prefer). Kind regards, Michael I was impressed with the product on a video I watched on YouTube. So I bought the package. I have the steam version of the sim and it is installed in a different location than the default. When I open Aircraft Manager there are no airplanes listed. I can't find anywhere that I can change something so that it finds the planes. Can someone using the product possibly help me with this? Thanks. UPDATE: Found the answer: the product does not work with the Wingman Modern UI. Too bad since I really like that home screen interface. Will now have to decide whether to use the Modern UI and not Aircraft Manager or vice versa. I am going to let the developer know since the Wingman Modern UI is really nice. This was discussed in the thread on the official forum. The author promised to look into this a few days ago. Given he is quite responsive, you may give this a little more weight by sending him a PM via the support form at the bottom of the product page (preferred, as the mods of the official forum are a bit sensitive to "support" questions). Kind regards, Michael Just heard from developer: he says that I can try renaming the Aircraft Manager folder with the prefix z- but that he can't guaranty it will work. That will apparently tell their app to load after the UI. Gonna try it now. However, he does not intent to spend time researching it into the Modern UI. He states that clearly. March 4, 20233 yr You can of course rename the aircraft in their config files so they sort more logically but I have a hunch that would mess with things like Neofly that would expect aircraft to have their original names.
March 5, 20233 yr 3. : Hard to say. Struts have a small travel distance: like 2-6 inches, for example. Seeing small change from the pilot's viewpoint seems doubtful. I've viewed the gear (not pilot's viewpoint but the drone camera) and the struts definitely compress on all/most aircraft. 4. : All the time. I have >100 listed. Would be nice if they had a smaller thumbnail so more would fit on screen, like File Explorer. March 5, 20233 yr Moderator I purchased it today, also thought I'd not like the loss of the Wingman UI but frankly, after a few flights I don't notice it at all.
