I'm sure this achievement was only possible thanks to the unwailing early adopters and their well invested money. Yes but if it wasn't for the early adopters like me they might have thrown in the towel? And then there would be no E-Jet apart from the Virtualcol. Seems to me that FSS are earnest and won't let me down.

Seems to me that FSS are earnest and won't let me down. This perspective is so bewildering to me, because it assumes that by nature of not being announced, a product can't possibly be in development. Study level airliners take years to develop, and developers show us previews when they have something to show us. Not everything has to come out like a Steam EA game, though that's the troubling direction this industry is going as well. Release it half-finished, no depth, and hope enough people buy in to your promise of a finished product that it keeps funding development. Would we be understanding if PMDG launched the 737 as an EA product with no systems depth? Absolutely not. There are just no guarantees they're going to deliver, and their release just about suffocated the promising freeware project that was underway. For everyone's sake I hope you're right, but there is a good chance that they will not eventually deliver a mature product.
March 20, 20233 yr I have to say that I was skeptical reading all of the negative online comments from January and February, but I took the plunge last week. I get very acceptable frame rates, 35+ on my modest system. The navigation via autopilot and even the ILS works flawlessly for me and the AC looks great. I have owned the AS CRJ-550/700 since day one and would much rather fly this. i7 10700 32 gb DDR 4 ram 1660 ti 1 tb SSD Edited March 20, 20233 yr by CarlHill

March 21, 20233 yr I guess it could have been the route and airport ILS, but I have tried it a few times and no failures yet. KGSP to KCLT.

March 21, 20233 yr Has the issue with the main screens turning off mid flight been addressed yet? I've been flying this plane since it came out and visit their Discord daily and this is the first I've heard about screens going blank. They suggest turning off the co-pilot's PFD and MFD to save resources but that's something you would have to do yourself, it just doesn't happen randomly. I turn them off in the panel.cfg and don't bother with turning down the brightness. There are a few posts about the right engine quitting, but that doesn't involve screens. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe

March 22, 20233 yr Thanks for this thread. Without it, I would be completely lost as to where I can find information. I bought the E-Jet 2 days ago and am in a constant struggle with it, beginning with throttle lever calibration and ending with updates. According to the roadmap, v. 0.9.5 should have been released about two weeks ago, and 0.9.3 about 6 weeks ago. How on Earth do I only have version 0.9.2 installed (via Aerosoft One)? And why are there no updates? I really want to like this plane, but I have to say, I had a rough start. Peter

Peter I'm trying to find the information, but there is an experimental branch on Aerosoft One where you can get the latest releases. The 0.9.2 release is the stable baseline. Their plan is to upgrade the stable baseline as the feature set matures. If I can find the information on hwo to access the experimental branch I'll edit here or re-post.
March 22, 20233 yr You can install the latest version (now 0.9.5) via the Experimental Branch. This will always contain the latest version while the stable branch will only be updated after reaching important milestones. How To Update Open Aerosoft One Install the version you would like to use

I tried to do that, but don't have the option available. After some searching, I found a thread in the Arosoft support forum that one apparently has to first uninstall the plane before that option becomes available. My goodness, I have never had a plane with so convoluted information ...
