Then, if memory serves me right, we should have a new releases sometimes in May. Otherwise I don't see any reason to go to the very specific conference emptyhanded. Unless they plan to announce that LM would be acquiring the entire MSFS platform from MS to integrate into P3D engine (kidding)

Well, it would be a very good time to mention an improvement 🙂

“ ….. The Prepar3D team will be hosting a “questions and answers” session with in-person attendees at 4:00pm CT on Saturday, June 24.”

I find it curious that "The Prepar3D team will be joining top hardware and software developers at the show, including Honeycomb Aviation, PMDG, TFDi Design, Thrustmaster, VATSIM, and many more."

AFAIK PMDG has all but stopped P3D development, and TFDI has so far produced only a single plane, the Boeing 717, for P3D.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the statement and they are simply saying they will be present with those specific developers at the show, but I question why the used the word "joining", as if there is some special association.

I'm just glad that P3D will be there which indicates that they are alive and well and working on v6.

Not really 'new' news.  This was announced by the expo a little while back.  But hey, you can get a free t-shirt from them!  I'm hopeful this means a release prior to the expo with the Q and A around the new features and such, otherwise the Q and A is going to be a lot of forward looking questions that they will probably not be willing to give a lot of detail if 5.3 is still the current version.

Dave as far as what you are reading, that blurb and a lot of their press release is cut and paste from similar announcements from other vendors attending the Expo.  My guess is it was a requirement / request for participating in the expo to mention certain things in any press releases.

Of notice though is how much more active their news posts are.  They have had 5 news posts on their site this year so far.  That is the same number of posts in all of 2022.

LM has been to the expo before and said nothing of consequence.

As for TFDi (mentioned above), they are planning on releasing the MD-11 for P3D and MSFS.  So there's that I guess.

Heck, last Expo I was at (Vegas) - the ballroom filled up waiting for their presentation to start, only for an LM rep to get on stage and say they didn't actually have anything prepared to show, and that their "session" was a few employees standing around you could walk up and talk to.

That said, my shirt finally wore out and sadly I had to toss it in the trash ha.

The P3D team get transported to Area 51 in Janet 737s Monday to Friday, and have armed guards outside their offices until the bell goes for home time. The aliens get to beta test the latest builds. They get all excited by the drab lifeless terrain textures, because it reminds them of their home world. When they get bored of abduction simulation test runs (using the F35-B for obvious reasons), they sign it off for general release.

Just don't get why they have to be so secretive about the V6. Is it based on some alien technology?

Really?? LM is a Defense Contractor 1st and above all else. They are happy to share Prepar3d with the Sim world but for lots of very good reasons they have no desire to be mixed up with the silly stuff that has become the norm with a lot of online gamers and hackers. One needs to look no farther than this weeks news about Bud-NOT-so-wiser or even the American Government for a couple of reasons why that might be so.
