Many years ago I used Process Lasso on my FS and P3D simulators. I am thinking on using Lasso now again on FS2020, but as age will have it, I forgot all about what settings would be the best in combination with flight simulators in general and FS2020 in particular. Can any of you please shed some light on this for me and kindly inform me which settings would be best for my 12 Core Intel Core i7-12700F processor?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

None. It isn’t needed, at all.

Thanks, I vaguely remember having read that somewhere. Wasn't sure, though. Thanks

Leave it alone. Maybe set an .exe specific power profile if you aren't running the max power profile 24/7, that's it.

Only thing it ever did for me in P3d was cause a stutter in sound. I uninstalled it and never touched it since.

If you're running other programs outside the sim, it can be useful to manage their CPU affinities with Process Lasso to sequester them away from the sim.

It's also quite useful for monitoring resource usage--CPU utilization, memory, I/O etc.

^ This ^.

I have a 13900k and in this case Process Lasso is particularly useful on this CPU.
I set all other apps to use eco cores and preserve all of the power cores for MSFS exclusively (apart from a few exceptions - some windows executable it is best not to touch - all in the usage notes).

It has helped with fluidity in the sim, and no CTD's (apart from the well known and unconnected GPU error), but if you don't know what you are doing, then it can lead to disaster!  You simply have to read the instructions.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

No, I bought Lasso way back when only for use within flight simulators.

Like the other poster in this thread mentioned, I use PL to move other processes off of the most hit MSFS threads and leave the sim alone.

On 13900k i leave everything default. As i have the Balanced power profile for daily use, i changed just 2 things when MSFS is running to have stable 5700ghz.

1. Change power profile to Bitsum highest performance

2. check Performance mode enabled

You could also change timer resolution to 0.500ms ( new feature ) + Purge Standby List now incase your cashed memory is overcharged.

I have the pro-paid version since X-Plane 11 and worked so far really good.

Very interesting and thanks for the information.  I will look at this.

How do you get stable 5.7ghz? do you overclock? is there any guide you recommend?
