Fenix A320 (Fifi V2) Current Status Query

Don't want to steal the topic, but I'm a bit intrigued by recent FSL statements regarding their airbus involvement in MSFS. FSL is the only thing I'm badly missing from P3D days. In the light of these news, Fenix might need to start get worrying.

I don't think Fenix is losing any sleep.

Fenix is not losing sleep because, as they say in my country, they have already sold all the fish. But if they don't get their act together in future releases they can hurt them, their CEO is far from being perfect, despite whoever he may think, so let's see if they can shut us all up with V2.

’m just looking forward to seeing what they have accomplished and hoping for a small update.

What do you need another update for? The last one was less than 2 months ago. Considering that the one before that was the release of the November version of the Aircraft, I would not expect any further development updates from them in such  a short time.

That's not how they communicate. They don't give microupdates every other month.

It’s awfully nice of you to share your thoughts. I was more hoping that Fenix would share some of theirs, but again thanks.

Best-

Carl Avari-Cooper

And I was hoping you didn't feel the necessity to ping Aamir, just because you have no patience and can't sit still and wait like the rest of us have since November.

I don't think either, since it's been more than a year in anticipation for merely IAE model.

What’s with this place and arbitrary ad hominem attacks when discussing Simulated Airplanes?

Prior to the last Fenix patch release, one of their team (Dave) mentioned "we are hopefully going to release the update this week." They missed that by a few days. There was some vitrioil about that. They seemed to have learned from that.

Their typical release is an NDA drop 2-3 days prior to release, and then an unannounced release.

This version, however, makes some changes to the model that will require rework by painters. My "we are getting close" measurement is the release of a paintkit. I am not sure at all they will release it before launch, but I have a feeling they will.

As others have mentioned, the Discord is full of "v2 when?" and they are getting a lot of support tickets also.

One of the best, if not the best aircraft in MSFS.

I'm not picking on you, but over the last few months you have been very critical of the Fenix, and said you much prefer the 737. What, if anything, has changed in your opinion of the Fenix?

I fight an existential battle of my own with my feelings on the Fenix.

I purchased FsiPanel awhile back, and finally figured out the trick in good landings with the A 320. Now I typically land around 100-150 FPM. Getting 99-100 with A Pilots LIfe V2 on every flight with the Fenix.

I purposely descend slightly below the glideslope around 800 feet AGL, therefore my pitch is more level as I cross the threshold, then just a very slight pitch up starting around 30 feet, and slowly move power to idle at 20 feet.
