July 11, 20232 yr Still looking forward to this with great anticipation. Could I have missed any further news on the status of development and/or release timeline? I am not often on Discord and perhaps @Aamir posted a tidbit or deux? Ta- C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
July 11, 20232 yr Other than Dave saying on Discord "Definetly this year" there are no release timelines.
July 11, 20232 yr Assuming you've seen this already? https://fenixsim.com/blog/entries/2023-05-19_anniversary/ That's the latest official update that I'm aware of. Edited July 11, 20232 yr by mmcmah
July 11, 20232 yr Don't want to steal the topic, but I'm a bit intrigued by recent FSL statements regarding their airbus involvement in MSFS. FSL is the only thing I'm badly missing from P3D days. In the light of these news, Fenix might need to start get worrying. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

I actually think the current thing that can affect Fenix is when FBW releases v2 of their FMS system. That will bring in things missing from the FBW like missed approaches and seconday flight plans. It at least closes the gaps between the two airplanes. We will leave aside that the Fenix is the CEO and the FBW is the NEO. That said, Fenix knows they need to get this v2 out the door. From reading the Discord they are really taking it on the chin, especially in support tickets.

July 11, 20232 yr Well, at least they had a habit to release each iteration with both engines' models. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
July 11, 20232 yr Author Back to Fenix... sounds like there's nothing new. I concur, they have to be very interested in ushering the update out stat, so I shall remind myself patience is a virtue. Should @Aamir deign to provide a morsel, no one would be more pleased than I. C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

C Two options: 1. Listen to people complain that they can't wait for the update, release it with it not working correctly, and then get ready for the complaints. 2. Wait until it is finished, working correctly, and then release it. I'll pick two any time.
July 12, 20232 yr Author I agree Bob, no issue with your option #2. I’m just looking forward to seeing what they have accomplished and hoping for a small update. I would never be uncivilized, but polite queries could also have the positive effect of telling the developers that excitement is not waning. C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

C According to discord they are working 7 days a week on it. It sounds like they are doing everything they can to get it out asap but there is still much work to be done. From what I have read on discord: The sounds are not yet implemented into the IAE model but the model itself is in beta, The visual/math/performance upgrade for V2 is not yet in beta, and I dont think the visual portion is yet in the sim which is why we dont have previews or images. It seems like its still several months away at best but they are doing everything they can and have hired some new staff to help. They have also stated on discord that they are making solid progress and everything is pretty much going as expected right now. Please remember I DO NOT represent fenix in any way, Im just a big fan of their work and spend a lot of time on their discord, and this is all guesswork. They will sell a ton of copies. (Especially with their new pm replacement who comes from an early access background) Problem with fenix is its a free update. He's not going to make much money from it, only new sales.
