None of that is relevant to the OP's 8700K/1080Ti system.

Personally, I don't think the change would be worth the time and/or aggravation.

There are some disadvantages in Windows 11 menus, taskbar, toolbar, file explorer. But none are hideous handicaps, just annoyances.

If there is no material upside, I now don't see a reason to do the changeover.  Perhaps next year if/as it might be beneficial or required by the 2024 product(?),

Have a look at the Stardock stuff

We have a couple of W11 PCs at work and the rest are W10. Everyone prefers to use the W 10 units. Just easier to get around the menus , taskbar, etc.

there are more users in this thread than just the OP alone, who contributed and may appreciate or benefit from a more widespread discussion of the subject.

I like the way you can customized the Start / Pinned in Windows 11. I have only my flight sim related apps in my start menu.

Fully concur.  I'm holding off myself until a new build sometime later this year w/ Raptor Refresh is the current plan.

Seems very inefficient and messy. No group sorting so it's all just lumped together in large icons and at some point you'll have filled it all up, plus a lot of wasted space telling you to turn on a disabled feature.

I'm using Start11 to mimic a Windows 10 style, at least lets you organize things a little more

To each their own. What may be messy for one is organized for others. Since you said mine was very inefficient and messy. I return the the observation by saying yours is very cluttered. Next time all you had to say was, here is another option and this is how I do it.  SMH

Alright settle down, wasn't meant as an attack, I could have worded it better. Apologies. Just find the Windows 11 native menu offers zero choice or options, you can pin it like you do or... nothing else. It's a massive regression over the Windows 10 menu in terms of options.

I have been asking this question for more than two years, and have yet to hear of any actual advantages over Win-10 vis-a-vis MSFS. So as far as I know, the answer to the OP's question is NO. (Many posts have said "I've had no problems with Win-11", but that wasn't the question!).
