July 30, 20232 yr 2nd flight from Gillespie to Santa Monica, no issues even doing a somewhat tight turn before going into final. I was afraid of stress with handling, but this flies very, very nicely (again, failures and stuff off) I always found scalability key for success (which is on the base of the success of all MSFS). And yes, the sound is remarkable and definitely different from my trusty C172. This will become my 3rd go plane, besides the Sting (excelling in view) and the Mooney (for speed). All under VR (where the LA basin is performance borderline in any plane). As much as I did love my Arrows, I can't see a case where I would ever pull any of them out of the hangar instead of the Comanche. Quite frankly it's the best GA plane ever made for a simulator.

Kind regards, Michael Dunno if you you noticed, but there is a VR turbulence setting in the tablet that will make your VR expirience so much better when flying in turbulence. In case you didnt know:). I wish all planes could have a setting like that, feels much more natural.

I probably won't even update the Arrow, because it most likely will remain in the hangar permanently.

HOWEVER for those out their on XBOX, or who are in school and got the Arrow as a birthday present from mum and are not due for another addon as a present till Christmas - the Arrow update is still quite good, ignore all the people going on about how they deleted everything from their hangar except the Comanche and now fly nothing else. I have the Comanche and love it and fly it a lot but I still pull out the Wilga and the Tiger Moth and the Kodiak and the Vision jet and my Sting S4 and quite a few other planes regularly.
August 6, 20232 yr A2A had always been in a league of its own, always have been and always will be… In FSX when I started my simming career and didnt know much, I bought a bunch of carenados until I discovered accusim, there was no way going back from there. Its like carenados is ok but they lack the soul and passion A2A gives their planes. Just by watching these videos Scott make for their releases, it gives me goose bumps. You can feel the passion in he’s voice and the love he’s putting into these planes. With e.g carenado where it more feels like walmart, putting out products faster than people change underwear, there is no soul put into it, its all about mass production and the quality speaks for itself… Edited August 6, 20232 yr by Kaboki

Lol, yeah im one of those people that said so, offcourse I will fly something else too, it was just a way to express how word not allowed good this plane is:p. E.g I have the Milviz c310 and fly it too, but, to make things clear, if A2A released a c310 powered by accusim, I wouldnt think twice to replace it:D Edited August 6, 20232 yr by Kaboki
August 6, 20232 yr A2A, to my knowledge, has always provided the option for cold and dark or auto startup. If you don't wan to futz about with startup and shutdown, when you get in hit the auto start, and when finished hit the "cold and dark". Done. One caveat, once auto started, lean mixture, or change spark plugs to the "fine" version. Is it that much more realistic Ron The Arrows are (still) great… the Comanche is really exceptional. The Arrow was my first payware and in my opinion it broke new ground for MSFS when it released. Now the Comanche has also broken new ground and will be the GA yardstick to measure against. If you enjoy(ed) the Arrow, I think you are more than likely to have a blast with the Comanche.

August 6, 20232 yr Thanks guys. I got it last night. I am a big fan of the Arrow. The Comanche is amazing. I don't know about day and night difference, but I just flew around for an hour. Looking forward to making a real simulated flight. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

The Comanche looks great and I’ll likely buy it when/if it comes to Xbox as everyone raves about it but I actually really love flying the JF arrow (and other higher fidelity GA aircraft) as I flew one in real life and never flew a Comanche and I am not likely to either. It’s like saying I’ve deleted the 787 as the PMDG 737 is a bit more realistic. You might actually much prefer flying a 78 or just not be that fussed about flying a 73. As an aside is it actually coming to console? I hope it is but have a sad feeling I read somewhere it might not be? Hopefully I’m wrong though!
August 6, 20232 yr I loved it in P3d and now in MSFS . I am not a generally VFR guy so i need to invest some time in the systems to bring up immersion level. Right now i am trying to learn about Leaning the engine correctly. Normally i can feel it with my buttkicker (which also is amazing btw) but never quite manage it 100% i guess. Drunking the engine with gasolin vs air is a balance which i do not master. I am not sure how to read the digital engine display in this regards. Right now going from LIEE to LICT.
