Fenix v2 Rollout and Future Plans (A319, A321, Sharklets)

Featured Replies

Now this is getting greedy, but some airlines like Easyjet on their A319s have 2 overwing emergency exits each side, is that something that could be done without too much extra work at some point?

Stay tuned Competition is ramping up.

Wow, what a fantastic surprise and further proof that Fenix is at the top of the game right now.

Even if it is better than PMDG or Fenix.?

Simply AMAZING. These developers rock on. A pillar of the MSFS. As a side note it makes me laugh if i look at the pricing of another developer which i will not name and another platform which wont be named.

Have a good one 🙂

I hope FSL can have something amazing for sale soon*, I loved their aircraft in P3D.  However, it's a different landscape than P3D and they're late to the game without any real communication on what they're actually doing, the sooner they realize that the better.  For now, this announcement has me forgetting Airbus addons outside of Fenix.

For A32x/A319 it'd have to be considerably better, and given what is coming in Fenix V2 I doubt that's the case, as well as Fenix's pricing for the A321/A319 I also doubt many would be swayed away to FSL, especially if a potential FSL A321 drops after the Fenix A321 (I know at least for me that'd be the case). Quite frankly FSL stand to do much better with the A330 and other aircraft for MSFS given the established players in the MSFS A32x space already. Like others have said, FSL's glacial pace and lack of communication have not done them any favors, especially in this current MSFS world of developer engagement brought about by new guard dev houses like Asobo, Fenix, etc.

If FSLabs were making an A321 for MSFS, they were probably wasting their time and money, since they knew that it was always a race against Fenix to come out with the first high fidelity A321 for MSFS.

I've seen a series of poor missteps and decisions from FSLabs with respect to the home consumer flight sim market in the last 3 years. The fact that they announced the Concorde for P3D in 2020, after MSFS was released and after they had a glimpse of what MSFS could do to the flight simulation market, that was a very baffling decision. IMO, it's possible that FSLabs will lose money on the Concorde for P3D (especially if it's only for version 5.4 and not version 6 of P3D). The announcement of the Concorde for MSFS would come later and FSLabs is lucky that nobody else is attempting a high fidelity Concorde for MSFS.

And I know FSLabs is slow.  It's okay to be slow when you have no competitors. But in this case, they do have a competitor with Fenix. And Fenix may effectively take away the high fidelity A319/A320/A321 market away from FSLabs in MSFS. You snooze, you lose.

Hey @CO2Neutral, you made this statement in a thread in the P3D forums, which wasn't as good as a place to discuss the price of MSFS add-ons, since it's not the MSFS forum.

Quote

As for MSFS being lucrative ... then why are we still seeing high prices for DLC/Add-Ons?

Anyways @CO2Neutral, you can see the low prices of MSFS high fidelity add-ons, as per what Fenix just announced. An A319 and A321 add-on, plus sharklets, all for the price of £39.99, this can only happen with the MSFS add-on market for new high fidelity add-ons.
