Fenix v2 Rollout and Future Plans (A319, A321, Sharklets)

Fenix clearly posted the timeline and what was releasing when with a very detailed announcement and image I posted above. Yet for some reason people cant be bother to read the information and are asking questions on Discord when all they had to do is take two minutes to read what was posted, 😂

Same people who feel they are entitled to information and release dates, same people who would complain if they had to delay next weeks release because a major bug happened and could not be fixed in time.

I am considering upgrading to a more robust system and debating intel vs AMD - would have been nice to see some figures for the X3D CPU's. The 13900K + 4090 + FG looks impressive until one considers that FG is what's adding the impressive part, otherwise it would be rather underwhelming compared to the lesser systems.

Wow, I am stoked at this news! I still have an i7 8700K and am totally satisfied with my generally moderate locked 33 FPS (Riva Tuner) as it is. I certainly cannot complain about the average 29 the Fenix delivers!

Yeah but FG is the whole point.  So one that is not worth dismissing in and of itself.  It's a beast with the 4090 and MSFS

I get really depressed seeing these types of comparisons.  On my PC I get really jazzed if I get around 15 fps in any one of the conditions.  Usually I am at around 12 fps into any payware airport.

I am an old guy with $2500 US ready to go to a new set up today - but honestly, I'm just intimidated.  The PC I am on now, I was able to go to a large electronics store (Frys), speak with a knowledge person, we picked parts, and he built and tested it in front of me.  Great experience, but those stores and service no longer exist in my area at least (or probably anywhere in the US).  Now its literally just a guess from an online vendor with equipment that may or may not work on arrival and all the other possible associated headaches of no local support.  And yes, I did ask over on the hardware forum here but my question got little response.  On the other hand, pickle ball is starting to look like a better hobby at this point. 🤨

MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

I would recommend spending time reading, searching, and watching youtube videos.  Building a PC is much less difficult than it used to be.

If FSLabs are anywhere near having a complete A321 (or any A320 family aircraft) they should absolutely release it. As consumers, we should be very happy to have a different offering. Who knows what FSL may bring to the party.

If FSLabs is deep into development with the A321 for MSFS, and it's pretty far along, for sure, they should release it before Fenix releases their A321.

I would even say that if the A321 for FSLabs is far along, FSLabs should even pull all their resources from the Concorde project and put all those resources into getting the A321 out for MSFS ASAP, before Fenix releases their A321. The reason is, the high fidelity Concorde market isn't going away - they have no other competitor making a high fidelity Concorde in MSFS, so they can delay the release of the Concorde if need be. And if FSLabs beats Fenix to the market with an A321, FSLabs might even recoup the money they spent making it.

If Fenix beats FSLabs to the market with the A321, I can't see FSLabs recouping the costs they spent on making the A321 for MSFS.

Fenix is doing the CEO engines. If FSL releases the A321NEO they will be fine.

The thing is FSLabs need to price it right. Price is the key here.

You missed the point of my post - which was to point out that without FG lower end systems performance is very similar - in other words it doesn't take a 13900K to get great performance - clearly a 12900K or a 5900X, or even less, will do about the same when paired with a 4090 + FG. When I do upgrade it will certainly be 4090 with a decent CPU, of which there are many.

I know the IAE is coming with the new engine model at end of September. Any news on the new engine engine model for the CFM? I see the release timeline for everything posted earlier but no mention of the new engine model for the CFM.

Don’t even suggest delaying the Concorde for an Airbus. Some will come with pitch forks and torches, I remember when it was put on permanent hold last time. Hahaha

The new engine model for both CFM and IAE is included in Block 2. Disregard, it will be IAE only for now.

I hope this doesn't bork it in favour of the geeks. Seems fine as it is to me?
