August 5, 20232 yr Can someone clarify, I thought the original Fenix A320 comes with the CFM56 engines. Are theyreferring to the CFM for the A319 & A321? Thanks To overcome the inaccuracies of MSFS's default engine simulation (most prominently the fuel flow which is currently too low in cruise) Fenix have developed a custom engine simulation that runs outside of MSFS itself and gets injected into the sim, I assume similary to what A2A have done in the Comanche. The IAE engines to be released in September will use this custom simulation upon release, an update for the CFM will follow later on. Edited August 5, 20232 yr by OuterMarker
August 5, 20232 yr It will be Jetblue operations for me with the new IAE engine model until such time as the CFM's come out. Eric
August 5, 20232 yr How will the updates be rolled out? AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance 32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card

August 6, 20232 yr WOW..been super busy with work and my personal life lately but just now catching up to all the news. Super excited about this! I will never forget flying out of Queenstown, New Zealand on an Air New Zealand A320 and shortly after lifting off the engines went into some kind of turbo mode and we started climbing like a homesick angel and being sucked into my seat. I believe the IAE engines have some sort of boost mode. I can't remember what Airbus calls it but its only used when the extra performance is needed! I would love to see an A318 at some point but I totally understand and agree that its probably not economically viable. Now way off into the distance a NEO package would be really cool and that is totally economically viable! Also I guess it should be said that its cool that eventually we have both Sharklet and regular versions available and that Fenix did not say "Well not many are actually flying without winglet's" like some other developer that we paid a ton of money for the product.

So if the update brings it closer to being realistic and that is somehow a problem for you, then you certainly bought into the wrong product. You have other options, use those instead. Is there a particular reason you felt the need to scold him like a school teacher? He bought the product, he is entitled to (respectfully) voice his opinion.
August 8, 20232 yr I really like the new screens and fonts, they look a lot more realistic now. It will be interesting to see what FSL does. Maybe they will skip the CEO variants for MSFS altogether and focus on the NEO ones, which we know are in development, and the A330, which is rumoured to be have been worked on for quite some time? They may also have an edge in some areas (FBW implementation, for example) that diehard Airbus sim pilots might honor. Or some other ace up their sleeves. This competition will only be good for us, the customers. Edited August 8, 20232 yr by thepilot

We barely have any info but as long as neither the Concorde nor whatever version of the A32X have been released for MSFS I would not hold my breath for the A330. I doubt they are working full time on all of these simultaneously but again, who knows.

Calling a group of people you want to distance yourself from 'geeks' has nothing to do with "respectfully" voicing an opinion, give me a break. I clearly wasn't the only one who found his tone and post strange.
