Comanche A2A what’s the verdict in Vr

Featured Replies

Any quest 2 owners opinions greatly appreciated . I have some time in September worth a purchase? Have the 310 ands the just flight arrows. Will this consign them, to the archive . ?😎

Works great for me with the Valve Index. I think many people find it hard to fly anything else for GA aircraft after flying the A2A Comanche. I have the 310 and turbo arrow.

Not a Quest user but in HP Reverb, it is phenominal.

nothing  beats  flying  in  vr  in  the  a2a or  any other  ga  aircraft like  flying  in the  real thing

Reverb G2 owner, works just fine in VR, VR Zoom works well and isn't tied to the control panels like in some other 3rd party aircraft which is good.

Walkaround VR viewpoints could do with a little work, the grab points for some of the items are a bit off but generally it's ok.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

With the VR setting set in the tablet the A2A commache is the most pleasant GA aircraft to fly with turbulence in VR in the sim ever. Dont know how they did it but now I wish all planes had this type of setting. Cant really fly any other GA after this experience.

Also looking at the wings when their flexing is a nice touch. I always wondered why no GA planes had this feature when airliners always had it in all sims. At one point I tought GA wings dont flex:p

I think it's right click mouse by default, I've got it bound to a button for ease of use.

very nice.

Quest 2 here.

Very nice experience with the Commanche

Some say you do not need FSRealistic Pro because Acusim already does that job even better,

I suppose that is correct although I am missing the bump on touchdown so either my landings are always butter (no they aren't) or i should use FSRealistic and uncheck all settings apart from that one.

Exceptionally well in VR, HP Reverb G2. Some other GA have come out. And I can't even be interested in them anymore. The A2A Comanche so far fulfills all my GA single engine prop needs ( and I have the JF Arrows, Blacksquare planes etc). Now >30 hours in it.

Fabulous!

I have the HP Reverb G2 here and just about everything I've seen, heard and done so far on the VR Comanche has been tip-top.  IRL it was the first light-plane I ever flew in and just the sound of the engine and prop waiting for take-off took me straight back the fifty years (really?? Hmm, shocker...really!) to that experience.  Later this evening, I will do a taxi and take-off from the aerodrome used for that particular flight (Halfpenny Green in the UK).  Can't wait!
