I personally edit the systems.cfg files in virtually every aircraft I install.  (In my case to add the pitch_pid_reset_mode=2 and roll_pid_reset_mode=2  entries to the [Autopilot] section, which provides a smooth, realistic engagement, versus a 'jerk' when the AP is engaged, when those entries are missing - which they normally are).

With MP purchases, it's impossible to access the systems.cfg file.

Would never stop me buying something like the FSR500 from the MP though.   Plus, I asked Raul to add those entries to the FSR500 and he obliged - on the very first update 😎 ).

Thank you for this! I noticed the abrupt jerk when engaging autopilot, even when FS bars quite close to attitude. Glad you told Raul and that next update it will be in there...should make a nice difference!

Also thank you for this variable to set on other aircraft--it felt like an immersion killer to have the jolt but now I can use this!!

Oh that's where the jerky A/P engagement on so many default planes comes from? Good to know! Weird though, that this is such a simple fix, yet the default TBM and others just don't bother to set this variable right or at all.

It is a little odd that Asobo haven't added the two 'PID_reset=2' lines to all of the default aircraft.  They have been added to all of the new versions of aircraft that WT have improved. 

It's a lovely easy fix to add the lines in other aircraft.   It can be added to Premium Deluxe aircraft too, not that they're no longer encrypted. But unfortunately can't be implemented into any Marketplace addons, due to the encryption of the systems.cfg file.

 

Hi guys,

We preparing the Xbox release, and accordingly added more updates and features to FSR500 to push it together.

Internal tests on consoles are coming very good, and the Xbox test users are very happy and delighted with what they have seen so far.

I will keep you all posted on progress.

That EFB is a work of art that is rich in features AND will work in the XBOX version. Really makes you wonder about the shortcomings of....other EFB's. Brilliant work on this plane, Raul.
