He was definitely talking to his back seater Goose. See my details below which contains a direct quote from the movie. The SATCO complained to Mav's CO and both him and Goose did a rug dance in the CO's office after they landed. So, if this is what a decade of research came up with.....? 😟 No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! November 19, 20232 yr If it's done to the same fidelity as Heatblur have done in DCS, this will be the first "Study Level " Military aircraft in the Sim. AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive
November 19, 20232 yr No matter how the plane turns out, this is probably one of the best MSFS videos I've seen to date.

I'm struggling to see how HB can deliver systems depth even close to DCS within the limitations of MSFS. You could maybe follow the A2A route and model the systems in what is effectively their own sim outside MSFS and just render the results from that in the main sim ? November 19, 20232 yr They wrote Flight Simulator, not flight simulation. Slight, but important difference.
November 19, 20232 yr What can you do with a fighter jet in a game that doesnt allow weapon use and has absolutely no option for any kind of mission? Fly By's will get boring after half an hour i think.... Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX AiO | Win 11

Some people like to fly in formation, and use their imagination and pretend they're doing combat missions. Some people just feel the need for speed. Edited November 19, 20232 yr by Tuskin38

True, and I have asked myself why I have bought so many myself (G-91, F-104, Magister, Hawk etc.), and I think it is because I just like looking at them in the sim, and maybe the odd trip around the Mach loop. I bought the aircraft carrier expansion also but I haven't even tried it yet. It is currently broken anyway apparently (in the beta). One thing is for sure, there are always people who will buy them (at the right price), especially if they don't want to spend more cash on DCS (which I have, but I don't seem to have the patience for). Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
November 19, 20232 yr Never purchased DCS and only purchased 1 military aircraft in my 30 odd years of flight simulation. The F-14 is an aircraft that just drew me in and I was thrilled to experience the jet in previous Flight Simulator versions. No interest in the weapons aspects. Interested in flying the F-14 and landing on an aircraft carrier. From several sources, this release will be a gem for Flight Simulator 2020. I think the last time i flew a warplane in a sim was back in the days of Aces over Europe/Aces over the pacific. That was awesome. 😄 Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX AiO | Win 11
