SU 14 is ON

I'm not sure I've seen any improved snow on my end either

There is certainly improvement with respect to SU13. Roads, taxiways and runways are no longer totally covered in snow; less icing on lakes and rivers also.

It's not perfect yet though, despite the Meteoblue snow data apparently is updated and has good granularity. For some reason it does not reflect in the sim.

This is a long thread now so I may have missed any fps talk, I jumped into the last Beta release as I wanted to test out the new SR22 - the first thing I noticed was a big drop in fps for me, another quick run yesterday and the same experience. I've checked my settings and nothing obvious has been changed graphically for me.

Hi Mike,

Absolutely. Since updating to SU14 the sim is almost unflyable. Stutters galore!! Approaching Innsbruck, LOWI before the update everything was silky smooth, now it is like a slide show. I do not know if it is the nvidia driver or the sim update as I updated both on the same day. Incidentally, before anyone asks, I did a restart after the update installations.

Just stop. You're embarrassing yourself. They're not putting a ton of money into it, but they developed a whole new sim, supported it for 4 years, and are now building another new sim which they will support. Yeah, clearly they've just abandoned it. /s

yet everytime theres a large traffic load on the servers, wether thats update day or a busy weekend. they fall over.

Just a reminder, if you experience stutters, clear the in game terrain cache, as well as the DX cache.

You cannot use that to gauge how much investment is going into the sim. Servers will still buckle no matter how much money is thrown at the project.

Consistently? Games with bigger user bases than msfs don’t have that issue constantly.

That's true of any server. You can't build servers for max load when max load only happens once in a great while. Businesses have to weigh the costs vs the benefits.

It doesn't make sense to build an F1 car because you need to go fast once a year.

You don’t need an F1 car to go fast 😉

And anyways, MSFS servers need to ‘go fast’ several times per year.
