I don`t know where your findings come from because i am using at the moment ( since some weeks ) V. 546.01 and this is ( for me ) one of the best drivers for months now..

cheers 😉

Agreed. I'm on the latest (546.29) and it performs fine.

Latest drivers here, not going down that rabbit hole of trying older drivers anymore as it's essentially a waste of time. I  perhaps would if I only played MSFS and nothing else, but as I play lots of other titles I just remain on the latest and rarely run into trouble.

Edit: also case in point the Nvidia drivers haven't changed but I have lost FPS from SU13 to SU14.

For those who are seeing a drop in fps, check your graphics settings haven't been changed in any way with the sim update. I'm seeing the same, if not slightly better performance with SU14. Latest Nvidia driver as well.

That's now one of the first things I do post update due to past issues, nothing changed this time though.

Did you have any light issues with Edinburgh? I'm seeing the runway and taxi lights all floating above the ground when arriving here.

Didn't notice anything amiss but remember, I was using default at this stage, not Pyreegue's EGPH. I'll be taking things slow before I start re-activating airports etc (though EGPH will be first up!).

My fresh install seems slightly faster but since that's all default and my graphics settings have deafulted down to high from mainly ultra, I'm probably not a good benchmark.

So I had Pyreegue's in place when I did my test run from Glasgow to Edinburgh post SU14 and noticed the light issue. Started a new flight from Edinburgh and there was no issue.

Did a clean Windows and MSFS install yesterday due to some minor issues after a recent switch from AM4 to AM5 and tried the same Glasgow to Edinburgh flight, this time just with default scenery and had the same issue when landing at Edinburgh. Will give it another try this evening but something seems bugged with Edinburgh in SU14.

Keep me/us updated and I'll do likewise. If the same crops up with default it would point to an underlying issue rather than Pyreegue's needing an update.

Yup, I've seen it with both default and Pyreegue's version. Will test it default again, both starting from and arriving too before I start adding some airports back in.

Slightly off-topic, but since I'm dealing with a fresh install...

I'm just deleting all the Aviators Club liveries from the default aircraft (as I've done with all Asobo/MS aircraft with those) and even just that frees up 3.37GB of space.

* Unable to delete Curtiss Jenny, Grumman Goose, Pitts S2 Beaver liveries through Content Manager as far as I can see.

** A real airline but I never use the livery.

That's just short of 7.8GB of liveries without uninstalling a single aircraft.

On the flipside, if I reinstall everything else sitting in Content Manager, that will need 169GB of space, though there will be some I wouldn't need as I have alternative airports which need the default to be uninstalled.

Where do you get 20 mins from? It takes some people with 500MBIT+  connections several hours overnight...! I mean I get the gist of what you're saying and agree to a certain extent, but thats rather ridiculous.

I have 1000MBIT took 7 minutes , its like when Apple release an update hear stories of taking ages so I just leave for a Few days until the rush is over and thankfully has always been ok ?   Know the frustration though as Modern Warfare always takes an age

Hmmm.. i like this i dea as never fly default aircraft anyway...

So do you judst look in the Official - Onestore folder and look for anything that says "Livery" at the end? Leaving the default aircraft alone?

I've not flown to see what performance is like on a normal flight, only done a load of benchmarks to show a slight loss of FPS in DX11 whilst a big loss in DX12 which was on par with DX11 in SU13 annoyingly.

Funnily enough having not uninstalled/reinstalled this Sim at all (from memory) I'm doing just that right now, maybe it'll clear up some junk files from past updates or something, maybe maybe not. Either way it'll be interesting to see if that helps regain lost FPS/performance or not, other games in the past improved with a fresh reinstall.
